What the hell? I saw one of these on the way home from school tonight and I about ran off the road. Holy GOD! Did Ford even make an attempt to make a decent vehicle? This thing is just hideous and the marketing on it sucked, I haven't seen, read, or even heard anything about it.

This is ugly:

This is cool:

Wait till you come across one on the road, they are very obscene

orignal plan was to be rwd, then moved to the mazda 6/ford fusion platform, which has potential to be awd but i dont think ford will do it. ford better change their game plan soon. the gt and mustang was a start, but c'mon how about something fresh like the iosis.

It will be AWD. There aready are AWD Mazda6es for sale, the Mazdaspeed versions.

I havent seen one in person, but if it retains any of the dynamics of the 6 (Car and Driver said the Fusion did, so I don't see why the Zephyr would'nt) this should be a good Lexus ES/Nissan I35 competitor.

Except and Lexus and Inifiniti will blow this thing away.

The Infiniti is probably a better car (do they even still sell it, now that I think of it?), but I would much rather have a tarted-up Mazda6 than a tarted-up Camry.

The Camry is no driver's car. The ES even less so.

 True enough, true enough. Sorry I've been drinking a tad and for whatever reason I just laughed when I read this. I guess it was the tarted up part.

I like it better than Fusion. Grille looks alright to me. Have you guys seen the Fusion's "Gillette Mach 3" grilles? :scared: Having said that, Fusion is one of the front-runner as my next car. That car is dirt cheap! In my price range, I could get four-banger(no stick for the six) with a dual exhaust, leather(I'm sure it's crappy like Ford 500's), side air & curtains, sun roof and other options I can't remember right now.

I don't like it by the general principle of it shares the same platform as the Ford Fusion.

I don't like the Fusion on the general principle that it's a direct rip off of the styling of the CTS.

Don't forget the Prelude, too. Mazda chasis can't be a bad thing though(although it's stretched out a bit).

what? did you expect Lincoln, of all brands, to go sporty?

besides, I don't think the Zephyr was ever sporty. I've seen a couple at car shows, but that's it

oh, there's a Mercury Zephyr, as well...they applied the name to the merc version of the compact RWD fox-type platform that replaced Maverik (Ford guys, correct me here if you need to)

I think its nice looking and i like the front grill - but looks like a big executive car not really my cup of tea!

I'd rather have the tarted up Altima (or Maxima?) and go with the Infinity. And I once again agree 100% with Blazin...that car is hideous. They didn't even TRY to make a good looking car.
