Well this is my first vehicle. It has a Flowmaster Muffler. That is the only aftermarket part. It is a 2001 Silverado LS 2 door 2wd. Pushing roughly 300hp. It is pretty fast for a truck. I outran a tuned up eclipse the other day from 30-85 then he gave up..lol..well heres the video link.
0-98mph(CPU cuts it off)

Very nice Chevy, let's race! J/k
Quick ride you have there, get rid of the slowbastard/chokemaster and get something that "flows." I'm sure you'll gain more too. Hehehe.... enjoy it! Its a nice first ride.

I've always hated the long gearing in American cars, but an engine with that much torque and power it doesn't seem to matter much. 👍

P.S. My Dad's Jag is about that quick too. :D

The best way to get something that flows is have a muffler shop bend you a custom exhaust. But ya your truck gets up and goes...my Blazer doens't have that affect.

That's the lowest speed limiter I've ever heard of. Why would they do that?, I can't image something with such poor aerodynamics would create a lot of lift.

All GM trucks cut off just below 100mph. My truck should only be able to do 98, but its been flashed so it will go till the engine says no. I believe it is capiable of doing 130.

Yeah..its really annoying when I drive down 421 or 77 and I'm going 97 the whole way. Thanks for all the comments. I enjoy it alot..too much actually..I need new tires..lol

Don't run the truck right at the limit, its real hard on the tranny. My truck didn't like it when I would bounce it off the limiter. And buy the Hypertech power programmer, sure it's 300 bucks but it adds a little power and gets rid of the limiter.

I think it's because the "off-road" tires can't handle any thing above 98.

hmm..I know some people that have worked only on American V8's for 20 years. They said they can get a CPU chip and a supercharger installed and some other stuff for 500 dollars. They said I'd be pushing 500-550hp. They said to get a 150mph speedometer cause I'll need it. 140 sounds good to me. But I get my thrill driving the Viper. I street race (its all imagination and any vids are computer generated) in a 2004 SRT-10. Its pretty cool for a 16yr old.but I'm not getting into that.(It sure as hell pays good)

Its real funny to pull up beside little V6 mustangs who think they are bad ass..and then blow their doors off. I'm sure the Jag is a bit faster than my truck. What year/model is it?
BTW my truck has a 5 speed so it isnt too long.

Well, that's because you're Blazer, and all Blazers for that matter, have that *cough* *Cough* Crappy V6 *cough* *cough*.

I can get up and go till about 65 mph then the torque just goes away and I'm left with nothing. But its the way the computer tells the thing to shift. I need to put the programmer back on it and adjust the shift points.

X-Type 230bhp 3.0 V6 auto and 4WD. The 4WD makes a real difference when accelerating. 👍

Plus, I was expecting the car to have 4-speeds like most are over there. My bad. :)

I think hypertech sucks balls, if you want a real tune look into a mail order tune with someone who specializes in that kind of motor/pcm.
Just save yourself that hypertech bull****.
tranny+increased line pressure(hypertech)=bouncing rev limiter.👎

Mine worked fine, I haven't had a problem. But I didn't use the program, I just took the speed limter off and adjusted for my change in tire size. But I guess if you want to go all out look at a company called SLP, they will reflash your CPU of your truck.

Smart man! Thats exactly what its useful for. The only thing I used it for too.

But if you want a firm shift, invest in a shift kit or rebuild.👍

Well its only a Blazer so I'm not really all for preformance...I just wanted to be able to put the truck over a 100 when I would take it to the drag strip.
