There is DAMAGE in GT4!!!!

I was coming down the Tunnel leading to Nouvelle Chicane on Cote D'Azur when I realized I was carrying too much speed. I braked but locked the tires up and slid right into Nouvelle Chicane.

Immediately, I noticed something was wrong with the handling of my F1!

I saved the replay after cautiously finishing my lap, and was astounded at what I saw! A broken suspension arm on my precious million dollar F1! I cannot believe this. I'm gonna have to run that 24 hours race on Nurburgring again just so I get another working Formula

Here are some pics, taken moments after the crash.

The car was very unstable but I managed to ease it along.

👎 PD.

Interesting, do you have any 'before' photos of the suspension to compare these with?

Hmmmmmm. Are you sure there isnt just huge camber on the front wheels?

Well, well, well. If you are truthy then well done you! That's a great find. Strange that no-one else has even heard of it though.

Interesting. I too thought about it being faked with the camber, but I feel it'd be to much work just to see our reactions. So in that case, that's a pretty cool glitch you found there kenny. WTG. Thanks for the pics. I don't actually see anything broken, but I can tell the wheel is out of wack.

I think he should show us a picture of both front wheels of the car after collision. :D

Hmmm, so is the left hand front wheel OK then? If so, can we see a pic of the two wheels at the same time (i.e. one normal and the other broken)?

ya that is kinda funny how on every pic that he showed us... it is only of the damaged wheels. But then when he showed b4 pics all of both? Hmmm?

Sti04
so there is no way to fix the front wheel if this is really happening?

Please tell me if you know how, because I sure don't. You can't do a chassis refresh to a Formula.

After smacking Nouvelle Chicane the car ricocheted off into the left wall....hence both front wheels f'ed up.

Yep! I will say it will be very interesting to see the front of the car with the left wheel in the correct (almost straigh camber) and the right one that is crooked...

Edit: I just saw the pictures! Very interesting... :odd:

Thats simply huge camber, you've either done that in an attempt to fool us and see our reactions or it's just a glitch and you need to go back into settings and change the camber back. Anyone can make their F1 look like that does.

Weird! I thought I was the only one! I never took photos 'cause I figured it was just a one-time thing. I restarted and the car was fine..

Z.

Dude! Good thinking, I'll just restart. I'll lose a couple good laptimes, though.

Interesting, but maybe its the camber settings of the wheel? PD never mentioned anything about wheel damage, or maybe they left it for ourselves to find out?

Well, I'm very cynical about it, and I could be wrong. But I would like to see the replay.
And if the wheel really is damaged, can it be repaired? I still doubt very much this "wheel damage" is actually true.

Maybe you should've edited your gallery first, Kenny. :P

Thanks a lot Kenny, now I'll never get to post my Z @ Suzuka... :P never took any either way

I like 4th/8th for the Z pics, 7th/9th for the F1 best, but what's with the freaky camber on the F1?

franz
Broken suspension arms maybe
great pics kenny!

kennythebomb
hahaha...thanks :)

The camber is a trick I picked up in my WDS I started (link in my sig) that seems to help it launch better... could be wrong though

Thanks franz!
