There should be an option to disable the viewing of smilies

Some people put too many smilies in their posts and it can be very distracting. Is there going to be an option to disable the viewing of them in GTP6?

Yeah. Overuse of smileys tends to get annoying at times. However, some people use them as the words that the smileys represent (That's odd => That's dd: => That's ). Not directed toward one person, but it gets kinda annoying and they really shouldn't do that...

Maybe it's because some of our smilies are colourful and animated. Maybe there should be a limit to the number of smilies in post?

yeh, using smilies in places of words is fairly annoying. especialy when used in excess..

I still think the most annoying thing ever though is that 12 year old language.

Anybody remember AlexY2K? I think he was the only person who ever made me appreciate smileys. Of course, he left GTP in a rampage when GTP5 took away his smileys.
