The pit crew are sitting ducks that is. I was doing some laps at Sarthe in my Vette when I decided to just screw around. For some reason I entered Pit Lane at the wrong end. My car died down to the 50mph limit, but I inched my way on through. I noticed that my pit crew was but only a couple of meters away, so I set a new course. I finally came upon them and nuged one guy back into the garage, and the other guy I hit away from the garage. It was cool.

At some point in time I'll join the Sarthe Enduro's and wait for the competition to hit Pit Lane. I'll go the through the wrong end and commence a brutal rampage.

But no, you don't go through anything. You actually hit every car and every person that is not beyond the limit in Pit Lane @ Sarthe. The cars don't disappear when they go into Pit Lane and you can't drive through them. - There, just some clearification on some rumors I had read on the forums.
 
and if you accelerate against a car that's on his way out of the pit (with the auto-driving still on) he will deaccelerate and the same will you and in the end you'll start pushing him back in the pit
 
I cant enter the pits backwards it always takes over my car and turns it around and sends it back on the track.
 
You have to enter the pits very slowly. Very very slowly. Also, on High-speed ring, if you go past the normal pit entrance, there's a second entrance (where it was in the original game) with cones "blocking" it that you can go into and drive through at full speed. Just don't turn around, or it'll spit you back out on autodrive. There are at least two pit crews you can run into to your heart's content, also. Not that entertaining, but if you wanna try it's interesting for at least the first time :)
