  • The best non-perishable snack foods are jerky and pistachios in the shell.
  • Why does no one in the Kenmore square area sell pistachios in the shell in a big bag? They are only $1.99 for a big bag at every gas station back home.
  • Why is jerky $6 a bag? I could buy a nice steak for that money...

  • I will not buy a PS3 for GTHD/GT5. It is not worth the $700.
  • Every American you play with online is drunk. Every European is a trash-talking snob.
  • The moon is made of green cheese. You know why? Because we never went to the moon.
  • Next time I buy a Mac, it'll have more than 512MB of RAM.
  • Rap music is overrated.
  • Pop music is overrated.
  • Most music is overrated.
  • Country music used to be great, but now it's filled with a bunch of rednecks singing about happy crap.
  • Shopping is hell. Unless it involves her buying something good for me.
  • One of the few good things in life that is free are computer programs. And even still you can only demo half of it.
  • Beef jerky sucks. Turkey Jerky is the dried meat of choice.
  • Ohio is hell. It's always cloudy and humid. There's too many corn fields.

I agree 100%, specially in the Baseball forum :grumpy:
I also agree. At least, I'll get the basketball forum going again, once the NBA Preseason starts. Saleen Man said he'll stop by and visit as well.

As far as baseball goes, I'm only a casual fan, so when the Mariners(my favorite AL team) are slumping, my interest level goes DOWN. I don't even know who's on that team anymore.

This really puts things in perspective. I will have to remember this in order to fight the urge.

TB: Oregonian weather forecast was right(for once). It is nice and sunny today. Maybe not 80, but high 70's. 👍

  • Generally speaking, Canada seems like a pretty nice country despite the fact that all of the citizens watch hockey and drink Molson Ice. I mean, they did produce Rush and Celine Dion, so I can't give them a hard time.
Your turn.

that is a good reason to hassle canada lol

  • One day, I will meet Klos and buy him a beer.
I'll be 21 in a few months.

And if I retire after 56, I'm going to be angry with myself.

I think I'm developing chronic back problems from lifting heavy things at work that I shouldn't be lifting. I need a good week off to heal up. Is this what old people (read: anyone over 25) feel like every day? But I just have one more day of backbreaking work and it'll be over for a couple weeks.

Tomorrow (err, today): the good old 11 AM to 2-3 AM shift and then school at 8. Plus I'm trying to cram in 18 holes of golf before I get to work at 11 AM. And it's 1 AM right now and I don't feel tired at all. My next 35-ish hours are going to blow.

Food service. Catering. Manual Labor.

This specific shift will focus on feeding a bunch of fat, lazy people who tailgate for the New England Patriots/Denver Broncos game. It sucks because we get to the tailgate area at like 2 PM for an 8 PM game. We serve them food, then they go see the game, then they come back and we serve them again. Then we sit in traffic for two hours as 60,000 people exit the stadium.

The suckiest part is that I probably get a break of like 30-45 minutes if I'm lucky during the entire shift.

That's messed up.

My uncle's friend always tailgates for Jets games...but he doesn't gets served or anything like that. He does it himself in the back of his sweet Dodge Ram.

I tailgated one time when the Jets played at NE, *sigh*, will never forget those delicious hot dogs...

BTW, Pats won :grumpy:

Ciao!

NYIAS, I was upstairs in that area where they sell all the stuff. There's big doors that lead to a balcony. I went out on the balcony for a cigarette, and sat down on the concrete ledge.

Then the wind blew, and I damn near fell.

That must've been like a 400mph wind to move your bulky stature.

There's nothing like your own bed.

You’re not wrong. I’ve done a lot of travelling for my age, and there is no feeling like lying in your own bed after weeks away from home.

I've decided that being feeble gets you nowhere.

I've decided:

1. The Vulcan V6 in my '99 Ford Taurus is underpowered.
2. Working in 90+ degree heat during the summer when it's not even 10 A.M. sucks.
3. Pot needs to be legalized. ;) (I've never smoked it, but..... )
4. The laws in certain states *coughCaliforniacough* need to be much tougher for various crimes.
5. Nascar needs to take off the restrictor plates and turn the drivers loose.

- Cars could always use more power, drivers could sometimes use less.

- These forums aren't as much fun as they used to, but I'm still addicted to them thanks to work.

- I don't want to see that you're not with it, turn around and see your butt in the clinic.

- I'm really good at fixing things that don't work. After all, it's hard to get angry and frustrated when the damn thing doesn't work at all to begin with.

- I spend more and more time and money at the hardware stores now. If I buy a tool that costs less than $25, it's okay because it's for the baby.

- I don't care about internet memes. Wait, that was decided upon in 1999.

- I hope the PS3 comes out in late-2008, so the whiners will leave this forum, and true members will stay.

- Firefox hates Alt+0149. Bastiges.

  • I procrastinate too much and I will not change this....
  • I am too reserved in public areas and this should probably change. Tomorrow seems like a good place to start.

Other way around (at least once you're over 25).

Totally wrong.

Spot on.

There's nothing like your own bed.

Very true.

I have decided John Bergin is fat, and that I refuse to use bullet points in this post.

I’m only supposed to do 90kph on the freeway (due my current class of license), but I’m increasingly finding myself doing the posted speed (110kph) or higher. And with that, I’m finding that too many people drive too slowly, and in the wrong lane.

Exactly, they expect us to be doing 30 less than the speed limit on those highways (still on Ls, getting my Ps in two months)? It's almost suicide and creates more problems than good by going that slow.

I might be a bit late...

Welcome back Klos...

Also the bad drivers part..

Im a pizza delivery driver so ive been spending quite a bit of time on the road at night and while i dont speed (cant afford a fine) i dont slow down much for corners either :sly:. My biggest annoyance is when your waiting to turn onto a road and a car is coming so your waiting for it to pass, waiting, waiting,, wating... then at the last moment it puts its indicator on and turns... WTF!! i swear these people do it just to piss you off.

And over here everone wants to drive in the right lane in a 2 lane road (we drive on the left) their will be like no cars on the left lane and the whole right lane is full. (suppose to stay left unless overtaking). It really is annoying.. or you get 2 dickwads going 10mph under the speed limit side by side.. or someone takes a couple of km to get to 60kph.. I could go on and on really..

Speed doesnt kill... abstructing flow of traffic, bad tyres, bad suspension, bad airpressure and dumbarse drivers kill

Sure. I was about to say speed does get you in trouble, but excessive speed on the streets is caused by dumb drivers.

bit of a difference between excessive speed and lowering the limit from 90kph to 80kph to "improve" traffic. That doesnt fix anything ya :censored:wits. When will the govt focus less on lowering the speed limits everywhere and actually improve traffic flow and get up people who are going too slow or using incorrect lanes and generally holding up traffic?

BTW ive decided to get off my arse and get active...
in the last 2 weeks ive got a job and a gym membership + i go outside in the sun (shudders) and do stuff

I've decided that those poeple who take forever to accelerate an block lanes and all that dumb stuff will always be a nuisancem and no matter what type of driving education they recieve they'll always be the ones.

Maybe some VTEC would fix their slow-go problems?
