I was heading down the main straight of Daytona Road Course in the Daytona 600pp RWD event and everyone was driving at about 50km/h waiting for each other. I was trying to catch up doing about 270km/h. Their were cars all over the track about 4 wide and swerving and there was no way I could avoid them and I had a massive crash. This was something that went badly wrong that I wasn't expecting to happen.

Lets hear some of your stories.

P.S Sorry to anyone I may have hit while I was out of control and crashing.
Sorry if this forum topic is unexceptable. I hope it isn't
I made a full thread about this so people could share stories about bad things accidently happening in races.

That happens to me on a daily basis. Never give up,just put the car back in gear and move on like it never happened. It's all because of the connection between each driver. Maybe yours wasn't bad but someone's was. It's normal so dont worry about it.

Several months ago, I was at Fuji running a few races against a fast Subaru. I was in a lighty tuned Evo X, and we always finish first and second (with him always winning). During our last race together I was bound and determined to win. I saw my chance to pass on the last lap but, when I went to brake I went a little wide(still on the straight though), I barely stepped my rear outside tire on the grass, thats when all heck broke loose. My car quickly turned into his Scooby effectively ruinning both of our races. I had a great night of racing that night until then. Afterwords, I felt like crap for doing someone dirty. Worst of all I never did beat him.

If you want to crash big then Daytona is the place to do it! I took out most of the GTLMSquad as well as Fak_Evil in the same place...not a good way to try and impress people.

On my set up I can't see my feet on the pedals - afew times I have started races with the big lunge into the first corner only to find that the car would not slow down....with my foot to the floor boards I am now a cruise missile looking for a target.... have now learnt to test that my foot is on the brake and not the clutch petal !!

Today I did a boneheaded move. I was racing a 1v1, starting on the inside at fuji. Right at the start I just drifted over to the outside getting ready for the turn without even thinking "hey, moron, there is a car outside you."

We hit and I came out fine but I looked behind me only to see him spinning wildly out of control... I let him catch back up in T1 but I still felt like a horses rear end...

unfotunatly my story is the same as joe's, flying down the back straight , hit the brakes but keep on flying towards destiny. must remember to press the middle pedal - it slows me down!!! many a time have kept my foot resting on the clutch (dangerous when in sequential mode- but a bad habit since i drive a manual in real life!!) always l/f brake in gt. hoon down fuji straight, left foot slams down, no response from the the car, the brain clicks over in that split second (damn clutch again!!!)- the car keeps going ahead- i'm resigned to a big bang. pick up the pieces and carry on.

hey guys just wondering if anyone else had this problem. when i finished class a, the last race i did was with an f430 in rosso corsa, and as soon as the credits finished and it went back to the main menu the f430 was white...:S
