lol not happening
For years now, this forum has mainly been about what you want in GT5. It's time to change that. Let out all of what you don't want in GT5 and say whatever you want to about it(no cursing of course). I'll start off:

Many different cars of the same model and stats only different by name- In GT4 you could find about 6 different versions of the skyline gtr r34 with same hp, torque, weight and handling. Example : Skyline GTR, then Skyline GTR V-Spec(this can stay but if its lighter in real life then make it lighter)and Skyline GTR V-Spec Nur, and a whole bunch of others. This happened with many of the japanese cars. Just make whatever performance differences they have be felt when driving them or take them out.

I don't want to see 1000 horsepower race cars. They're just not necessary. There were plenty in GT4. GT should have regular street cars and some lower-powered racers, but cars with less power would make GT5 more of a challenge.

Damage- PD wants to make GT5 a driving simulator which people can easily learn from. They want GT to be usable driving lessons game which makes doing a driving test cheaper and less risky. Wouldn't you want to do a driving test and not be afraid of crashing or popping the clutch or anything? And i've played GRID online and there are punters who will total you to win a race. This will happen in GT5 if damage comes.

Whoa, there... GT5 is not meant to make driving lessons easier. I don't know where you got that. The purpose of Gran Turismo is to allow people like us who can't afford a stable of exotic cars and racers to drive them without splurging a few billion dollars. So damage is good. It's more realistic, which is the point of GT.

I do agree with you on this. Bad example, though. The base GT-R, V-Spec and the Nur did have performance differences, but having 7 million tuned versions of the R34 is un-needed. I've been talking about this for ages on the GT5 forum... need more variety people... pd, are you listening?

Kaz said it himself in one of his interviews " I hope that in the future Gran Turismo can be used for real drivers license tests"

I would like to Know why if you dont mind me asking

Because it's stupid, it's a damn game I don't want to have to sell my cars and buy new ones every time they reach 3,000km or what ever it was.:grumpy: Power loss should result, but should be fix-able with a service/maintenance or maybe even an engine rebuild. That way when you buy a 2nd hand car it may need a 5,000 Cr. engine rebuild as well or something.👍

I agree!👍 Paulie!

He also said GT5 would be out by now. And also if you were taking a real life drivers test and ran into something wouldn't you fail anyways whether or not there is damage?

GRINDING - I know, other racing games(Forza) still have this to a degree, but no game involves so much grinding as Gran Turismo. A few months ago I replayed GT4 and the amount of times I had to do the same race multiple times to afford a new car which could do the next race multiple times to get the next car......... was borderline insane. This isn't some RPG.

I don't want to see in GT5 is online events, and that player maching progress online race i will be piss of if they still have that in GT5 OKKKKKKKKKKKKKK:grumpy:

Yea i agree with you 👍 When i 1st read it i thought you didint want a motor to have the abikity to blow up if ran incorrectly.

Rolling Starts:
This is pretty self explanatory but I think the race should be a race and not give any car a 6+ second advantage from the start.

Yep, the key word in Paulies post was "Permanent", I am all for mechanical damage or degradation but as long as it's repairable.

I don't want to see jaggies - especially in the shadows. It would ruin the photomode.
Doubt there will be jaggies in this photomode, remember the resolution on gt4 used for just one car in photo instead of feeding six on a track, imagine gt5 it will mainly probly look like that koeningseg 3d video is what im guessing. since its just one car and not 16 or more depends on what gt5s grid will go up to

And as for something i dont want...

Same versions of each car but different year's..
It gets annoying

Do you mean same model different years (eg. When GT4 had the GTS-t in both '89 and '92 models when they were exactly the same)? Because I would quite like to have both a C5 and C6 Z06 Corvette, or VZ and VE SS Commodore.

What exactly do you mean by grinding?

Sorry mate, should have been more clear:). Basically grinding is a term used in RPGs' and games like World of Warcraft. It describes "the process of engaging in repetitive and/or non-entertaining gameplay in order to gain access to other features within the game".

There is zero grinding in GT4. You only do a series or race over again if you want to. I easily got to 25% in my last game without ever doing a race twice.

This guy must love races where all the cars look exactly the same!

Gran Turismo has never had a livery editor, and yet I don’t recall a single race where all the cars look the same…

GT2 had race version's. basicaly the same as a livery

Damage - Should be in, it's a sim. It's not necessary, but it is good. If I crash during a license test, oh well (and if I recall, you would fail a license test for crashing damage or no damage).

Repeat cars- Wastes of time, to justify different cars, they must have different stats. Even then, having 50 Skylines, and only 4 Vipers (or any other car with a low number of models) in GT4 was dumb.

Additional things to avoid:

No player created rooms - If GT5's online is like Prologues, it would be the biggest failure in GT history.

GT4's event setup - Every race series was dull because they all felt the same. The only real restrictions were tires, and there was hardly a good number of races. GT3 (and GT2 especially) felt much better in career mode. However, with online play, this isn't as big a deal.

Autosave - One of the worst things to happen to games ever. It must NEVER be undefeatable

TC and ASM on in licenses and driving missions - Made something that could have been fun a chore.

Poor tire and aero physics - ie, fix Prologue's physics

Fake races - No more of Prologue's non sense arcade races where it's really you vs the AI that starts in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd while the other 14 cars are scenery/traffic. I also want to AI to run pro physics and on tires other than S3.

Standard physics presented as if it's the main physics mode - I think most of the special events online have been in stnd physics, which makes no sense in a simulator. Special race events should be at least 50 % pro

Sloppy tuning screens - Tuning in GT has gone downhill since GT1, with GT5P just barely bringing back some common sense additions (mph in gearing). The tuning screen needs to give you important information so that people aren't just guessing at things.

Hidden cars - Call me crazy, but I don't want to have to search 1000 races just to get some car. It should be purchase able, or at least have clearly defined and easy conditions to unlock. This is especially true with online racing becoming more prevalent. I wouldn't mind seeing GT5 completely aborting offline races.

Bad music - I never turned off my music before GT5P, not even in GT2. Bring back GT4's music selector and use good songs.

That is all I can think of off the top of my head.

Whats wrong with Autosave?
What about the different models of the 240sx? I bet people will complain if they didn't put the 180sx or the Sil Eighty in there.
