I just wanted to say that knowing that the 1 year anniversary is here, most (if not all) the channels on tv are playing 9/11 footage and the like but i wanna say that we should think of the positive things that came out of the attacks. Hundreds and thousands of people have donated blood, money, and their own time and effort to rebuild this country. Forget the war and the plans to attack Saddam and Osama, and think of the good things that would happened since that tragic day. Even I can relate, because after the attack, my Social Studies class started a pen pal program with kids in Washington State to see how they reacted. I met my friend, Shiloh, and we became good friends (though contact was hard) and we hopefully can meet each other someday. So as our nation gets strong, and other nations like Britian and Germany are there with us, we can overcome those damn terrorists. (Sorry to be "preaching" like this, but that day really affected me  )

You know, WTC footage is like a horrible train wreck. No matter how hard you try to look away, you can't.

oops, i guess i was supposed to be positive.

Positive note- the best "memorial" i have seen for the WTC events, was in Las Vegas. Now i know you are going, "Las Vegas?" but hear me out.

In front of the "New York, New York" Casino/ Hotel, then have a little display with a blue tug boat, and a red tug boat, also a mini statue of liberty. they re-painted the boats, with the colors and insignia's of nypd and fdny. There is a fence that surrounds the pool with the tug boats( about 200ft). All long the fence are hundreds (maybe thousands) of Police and Fire department shirts, from all over the world.

Dunno i was amazed by that....
