Think it's a bit, I don't know, dangerous?

Okay, the new Ford F-150, the cab is (almost) totally sound-proof, but here is my question, how would the guy that has bought the truck, listening to Metallica, hear a siren that is coming from a Fire Truck?

He'll see the big flashing lights. And if not, he's a bad driver and shouldn't be driving.
 
If he doesn't see the big flashing lights, no worries, the cab can just be run over by the Fire Truck
 
Trust me I drive around listening to Metallica really loud and I get the hint when a fire truck is coming...how do you think deaf people drive?
 
Do you actually believe that the F-150 is completely sound proof? I'd hate a car like that. I enjoy hearing the engine and tire squeal.

Silly Ford. I guess they don't want people to hear problems with the F-150, they want them to see and feel it while they are driving.
 
Um, I'm not sure - how do Rolls-Royce and Mercedes drivers manage?

Do you actually believe the F-150 is more soundproof than those marques? :odd:
 
You mean Ford wasn't the first to implement something like this. I feel so violated.

I'm asking GT Guy. If the F-150 is sound proof, what about Lexus. Okay lets say the LS430. What is his opinion on the LS430.

His opinion will probably be that LS430 owners won't be blaring Metallica on their Mark Levinson sound systems with 24 leather-wrapped speakers.

I think the LS430's an interesting car - I love the new adverts claiming it 'silences all the critics.' Excuse me, but I haven't heard a single real critical thing about the LS since it came out more than ten years ago. Exactly who is it silencing?
 
It has silenced me thus far. I contemplated forming a picketline in front of Lexus' main headquarters when I rea about the LS0. I came to my sense later though.

And now I've lost my sense again.

My opinion? Well, I don't really follow the Lexus car series, so I wouldn't know.

Then you should try a Lexus, especially the LS.
