Thanks for reply, I've just purchased the ps5 digital edition, I got it for 387.00 brand new at Amazon, so I will be selling my 2 x PS4 I think.I Have and use both a digital and disc SLIM PS5's. There are NO difference in how they operate apart from using a disc to START a game on the disc version. Everything else is the same. Loading times, fan speed, console temperature, all the same. I Only have a T-300 wheel and it works exactly the same on both consoles. The force feedback on the T-300 is also the same on the PS5's compared to my PS4 PRO.
I'm mythed to be honest over the ffb, for instance ill play F1 on my PS4 slim and the ffb feels tighter and firmer going around the whole track.
The FFB also feels constant even in long straights, plus after hours of play with the ffb turned up high on F1 I'll touch my wheel and it's just barely warm.
I'll then play gt7 on my other PS4 which is not a slim but a fat version, and the ffb is no where near as constant all around the track, in straight lines it all most feals as if the ffb is going to switch of all together, which is of putting really because it will come on strong just as your about to hit the corner, which is not good having a sudden high increase of ffb entering a corner, it should be gradually progressive,
To compensate for the lack of ffb on straight lines I'll switch the constant ffb setting on in tgt2 pc software, and it helps a bit, but not much on long straights, the ffb is weird then it's almost like the ffb goes as if you where driving on the wet, it really bugs me, only after playing Gt7 for half an hour the wheel will start getting to hot which is not good because then the ffb gets effected even more so, despite the ffb being set to a lower setting than when I drive F1, so annoying also the console starts getting warm, the feeling of force feed back on gt7 on the long straights actually feels less than if you where driving in wet condition, it really gives you a false sense of feeling in grip, then when you enter into a corner you get a dramatic sudden change of ffb and it feels so firm that it make you feel you can accelerate stronger but you can't, and then after that you just start losing confidence and have to guess how much you can accelerate, or go back to old school and use your memory of how much acceleration your applying on each corner when there was no ffb on wheels, on other games I just don't get this, I'll have a gradual progressive change all the way round the track in both wet and dry conditions and you know the difference of feeling of ffb between the two, entering corners is so much better to as you know just how much you can push and driving in rain is probably at least 90 percent better in feeling of grip of ffb on F1 , compared to what I'm experiencing using my current set up on gt7, on F1 I'll win race after race online in multi player in the wet in ranked races, but on Gt7 well if there's a wet race at the.moment I just can't take part and even then I can't take part in daily dry races at the moment 😔 well I can but only just maybe a short race if the ffb holds out but even then it's more difficult than it should be.
After running tests playing both gt7 on the fat PS4 and the slim, the slim performs better for longer and doesn't get as hot as the fat PS4 console but there's not much in it, so this is probably the reason why I've opted for a slim ps5, all tho I have a feeling tgt2 is just compatible with the PS4, and I suspect the PS4 really isn't as suited to the tgt2 as the ps5 or the faults may be with the firmware gt7 poly are providing, I just don't know really
I just hope it's going to fix the issues as many people have reported a much stiffer ffb when playing Gt7 on a PS5 with a TgT 2, and so stiff they can barely turn there wheel on a higher setting, which is also got me a bit concerned, I'll just have to see how it goes, I think my next step will be a funnytac wheel 😂
I've also just bough and acquired some thrustmaster LTE racing line pedals for this wheel, as I find the t3pa pedals an absolute pile of rubbish,
After testing them today there so much better and so versatile you can invert them in seconds, and the springs are great, I was quite fortunate getting them really, the person who sold them to me had to get an upgrade of the 3 pedal version when he bought is t598 so he could drift with a clutch, so he sold me his two pedal version for only 50.00 untouched and brand new, hooray for facebook 😂
