I finally made enough space to create my own racing combo. I installed a BMW 316 fully adjustable leather seat along with a nice desk to put my wheel and tv. I'm getting a 23 or 27" LED TV monitor. I am really satisfied with my DFGT, reasons I want to upgrade are separate shifter and adding a handbrake! I know for a fact that for G27 you can buy a handbrake and has a separate shifter. Has any one tried that handbrake I dont remember the brand but it's a new product?

I am also looking if there are any other options out there keeping in mind these:

I can't pay 500 euro for a wheel
I want something that is a really hardy product (G27 IS one). Also they have excellent support and my DFGT has been unbreakable!

The way I am looking at it G27 is the only choice for me. I don't wanna get a Fanatec and risk waiting for a wheel replacement for a few months... T500 is extremely expensive too.

Am I correct thinking all of the above? Should I go for it?

above the dfgt, and also not more than 500euros. As i know only few choices is available!

1. Logitech G27
2. Fanatec 911 Carrea

I really cant tell which is better as i own a G27 now, to be honest i've never tried the 911, but i bet that the shifter of fanatec will be better than g27.

The carrera isnt really much better than the dfgt. The g25 would be a good choice. There around for about 200 euro and no more, and has sequential so it helps for drifting and serious racing.

Well you've basically answered your own question, but it's almost worth it to stay with your DFGT for a few more months and then make the step up to the T500... your hands will be wrapped around a solid beast that will feel like you're driving a 3 series :sly:

It's just a matter of visiting a junkyard and doing a bit of soldering. Soldering to the wheel itself if you're not worried about losing warranty or to a gamepad. There was some threads about these mods.
