Today ten years ago, I was supposed to die. Oops. :P

Okay, so it was the Oklahoma City bombing. I was supposed to go there and get an ID card or other and, as luck would have it, my mother (I was seven then) forgot. I was in school at Tinker AFB and didn't notice a thing which is funny because everyone about thirty or forty miles from the blast all claimed to have heard it. Tinker AFB isn't but twenty miles and I didn't hear so much as a squeek from it.

The point is: God bless the media. ...For overdramatizing pretty much everything.


Just to further prove my point in a generally inane way, it is apparently "breaking news" that the cardinals did not elect a new pope. It's been 2 days!!! I would hope to God that they spend more than 2 days electing arguably the most important world figure. :banghead: Breaking news....

OMG you got lucky:nervous: As this is primarly a site where you post about GT, you don't really expect other people to witness these things:crazy: If I now think about it, there are also dozens of people that witnessed......erm.....well 9/11!!

The only thing that has happened here is that people just get shot here like John F Kennedy! There was a man here in Holland that was just about to become priminister, just like JFK, and he got shot too at a "media center", meaning he just got off an interview, if it had happened a min. earlier, it would have been live on the radio!!!! I wonder if people abroad have also heard of this murder? since we're not the USA.....
 
My uncle missed the 9-11 bombings. He worked up near the top of the first tower to get hit.

Luckily it was bring your father to school day or something along those lines that day.
