We should be able to use multiple accounts for duping and trading, just like we could before.
Duping was never a problem. Certain people (don't want to say whiners because that could get an infraction) apparently blew it out of proportion and made PD think they had to do something to stop "rampant duping". The 1mil limit may or may not be gone, but I'm afraid the one car per PS3 restriction will stay.
Yes, X2010 abusers online are/were a minor problem, but there are better ways of solving it.
If they're trying to protect the gullible from overpriced eBay auctions, the better idea would have been to ask eBay to take down auctions of ingame content (except codes of course).
The whole thing is very unfortunate, and at this point the best idea would be to reverse any and all changes made to gifting (including the 1 car/1 PS3 thing) when they release 1.08.
It sounds stupid, but I've thought that myself. People who don't dupe or trade generally have to griiiiiiiiiiind a lot to complete the game, while those who do... well... don't. Some jealousy may well be entering the equation.

The only time duping could possibly affect me is online and quite frankly duping does NOT improve driving skill.
Why do people call us elitists? We're just players, we play the game, GT5 was not meant to be easy, its not something you just rush through. Infact if it were GT:HD it would have been a game where you only have a few cars in your garage.
Never been bothered about this personally, I don't dupe or trade but then again don't have a problem with those who choose to do so. I thought that GT5 was all about how you choose to play the game yourself...
On a side note, it is entertaining reading some of the angry comments (particularly after the last update)... some people get really worked up on here!

What get me into this is there're alot whiner about the 'legality' of dupe out there.
It's annoying, from my view.
And before it was a jungle of angry dupers it was a sea of bitching betties about the dupers who managed to waste a good patch that could of been used to fix things (like the glaring shuffle race freeze problem thats been here since v1.00) on something that didnt need fixing
Then PD should get off their stupid butts and fix the games chronically bad enconomy:
Cars cost WAY more than previous GTs
There are WAY more cars
There are WAY fewer races
Cannot win prize cars more than once
Cannot even sell prize cars anyway
In fact there's no negative term bad enough for the economy in GT5.
the games legacy is either: GT5 the Mundane driving Simulator or GT5 the boring grinding driving simulator.
This game could have been the best console driving game, it SHOULD have been . PD just utterly cocked this up and continue to exasperate the situation with crappy ill thought out patches.
