I rented GT3 and i see no way that this game was better other than graphics.... the whole idea was messed up, and there weren't many cars... maybe 100 or so... I would definitly not rent or buy this game again, because I'm so shocked that they would go from such an awesome game to such a piece of crap... any input on this... e-mail it to diamondback_anarchy666@hotmail.com, or add me if you'd like to your msn messenger

Great contribution!

I'd ban him on the spot, but I figure a few other people want to get a shot in on Mr. disappointed.

If he continues to contribute such a wealth of information, he's not likely to last long.

whats everyone gettin so heated up for??? All i said was that this is not worth the 10 bucks you could buy the better one for... i AM a fan of gt2, not so much gt3, and I think gt4 will be a BLAST!!!! i got some vids from The Official Playstation Magazine, (a great buy for ps2 fans) and the graphics are GREAT!!! Anyone know approximately how many cars will be in the game???

I simplify it for you. . . click that, then type in "GT3 number cars" it should give you a results list and in there you'll find the answer :D
 
for GT4. . . Pick a number - 614 , 1050, 200, 774 , 664 , etc. . .
 
Destructo_king, I will suggest that you check the GT4 forum here on GTplanet.net. IT holds a wealth of information related to GT4. Very likely including the videos that you refer to.

Knowing the bugs and and the game play of GT2, I'd suggest that with GT3 being $20, its the far wiser investment of the two.

Destructo-King, I'm sorry to see that you didn't like the game. GT3 is really all about how much you put in it. Just like in GT2, you will be rewarded for your effort.

Guess your effort was not good enough, since this is really not a "rent for 60 minutes and do a final judgement" game.

If you think it's not that good, simply don't buy it. It's not for you. I'd recommend Ridge Racer to yu from where I'm sitting (or a gamecube :D ).

Indeed. GT2 may have the upper hand in cars (597, I believe, compared to GT3's 186. I think) but in every single other aspect, GT3 has it whipped.

Better car models.
Better (really...) car sounds.
Far better car handling.
More tracks.
Pagani.
Less outrageous bugs.

GT2's races had very little in the way of car restrictions - you could just pick up a JGTC Supra and throw it at the 80's Sports Car series. In GT3 you are forced to think of a competitive car. GT2 was rushed to meet demand - exactly the same as many people feared would be the case with GT4 at Christmas, but happily it appears not to be so.


I suspect you hate it because you cannot drive in it - the physics are so different from GT2.
 
I bet your eyes got a shock when you went from GT3 back to GT2! Its like you pin-point every pixel!

So true, so very true.

As for you saying you don't like GT3 Destructo, i can see why, you played it for a couple of hours on and of over night, and you did not like the feel of the acrs and that you couldn't just do one five lap race and buy the best car and brease through the game like you could GT2...i just think you should play the game some more...the only person i know who doesn't like this game is a mate who thinks it's boring because he needs to wait ages to get lots of money and it's boring...I guess you could say GT3 is a game that takes patience.

My girlfriend creased when she saw that too. But that's nothing compared to the Big Bad Wolf one... I won't post it here, but it's in the Opinions/Hated Avatars thread (last page of)... Other people at another forum use these as avatars!
