Ford GT, ShelbyGT500 or the Mustang Boss 302.

Down a straight the answer of course would be

wait for it

The Boss of course in stock trim.

Tour of America race & the AI is obviously trying really really hard, and no it wasn't even the last lap when they fall asleep at the wheel.

Seriously Polyphony sort out the single player game or do away with it completely & make it online only, with at least 2 separate servers so it is available 24hour, no time out for updates.

Give us races we can set up ourselves to our own individual skill levels please I am begging otherwise you wont be seeing anymore of my money.
All these cars & virtually no races for them, even S races are a joke pure tactics just buy a car that doesn't need to pit or one that's fast & needs to half way through.
Accelerated fuel & tyre use make these races a joke as the difference between cars is magnified greatly.

Great variety of cars & tracks, a brilliant handling model & the only thing you can do single player is time trial so why not call GT7 GT time trial that's what we get after all.

Sorry negative but its frustrating just adding user definable races would transform this game, it is after all supposed to be a racing game, isn't it?

Also why are we wasting resources on the Red Bull stuff, if I wanted that sort of thing I would have bought something like Ridge Racer.
If they are not arcade I don't know what is so why are they in the main game?

Update the Boss 302 weighing in at 1647kg, 443hp & 53kgfm of torque just went past a Viper SRT10 ACR which is
90kg lighter has 160hp & 25kg more torque, assuming it had not been tuned.
Yes it was last lap AI driver but come on all I should see is its dust.

Still suppose its not as bad as the race I had at Monza no chicanes so a power circuit so of course there was a Fiat 500 in it, think it was an all Italian race. What the heck was it doing there pretty sure even the AI lapped it.
Theres nothing like close racing to keep you interested.

Let's hope that the next update will bring us new things...

Stock Shelby GT500 got to 350kph+ in 5th gear or 218.75 mph on route X before the uphill section, which is faster than the real car does in 5th gear. 5th gear is the gear that is meant for top speed runs. 6th is for fuel economy.

The Boss mustang got to 301kph/188mph at the same place, which is what it should hit if it weren't limited to 155.

Which one was faster for you? User error maybe?

I suggest you edit your post before the ridicule begins....just sayin'

Think you missed the point, I was driving a stock Boss versus AI in the other cars & I went past them down the straight!!!!!
So assumption is they were at around 2/3rds throttle
Just sayin

That's still not broken. That's call game balancing.

Crank up your AI aggression, but you still won't be challenged. The AI is not designed to beat you to 100% of it's ability or they'd run perfect laps every time and you'd be complaining about how difficult it is.

I'm watching our 9 year old playing the game at the moment and the AI is kicking his butt. I think he'd argue that the AI is way too hard.

Yeah as mentioned above the AI run at like 6/10ths, so there's no point in using them as a comparison.

No its not, an adaptive AI is called balancing. One that gets easier the more you lose & harder the more you win.

Thing game does it dramatically & very badly mid race, if your not winning it nearly parks to let you win. It can take 20+seconds more to complete a lap on the last one.

Adaptive as used in most games adjusts the difficulty next race or so marginally in the race you are in you don't notice.
TOCA comes to mind as a good example the races were hard but at your level, you would win maybe 1 in 3 as the AI scaled its self.

No, adaptive AI is adaptive AI, and it can still be balanced to adapt at a different rate. What you are complaining about is that it does not adapt in the way you would like it so that it suits your desired experience best.

How many consoles did TOCA move? Nevermind consoles, how many units in total? Why isn't it still a massive franchise?Console movers like GT have to cater to a broader audience. Offline is for the casual or the midcore at most. It's been said a million times (ok, maybe thousands) if you want challenge, go online.

No one will let you win there.
