This happen to anybody else?

Tried searching online for a fix but couldn't really find anything.. So when I join a lobby everything will be fine, but sometimes when a new guy joins, I won't be able to see him. His name will be in the lobby but his bar will be gray like he's just sitting there. But other people say he's actually on the field racing, but I just can't see him, but he can see me. If he has a mic, I can't hear him, but when he types, I can see it. If I leave the lobby and rejoin, everything will be peachy. I'll be able to see him as normal. This very rarely happens when I'm drag racing, but when I'm actually racing, it seems to happen to every new guy. Anyone know a fix or have any advice for my situation?

Bit of a bad connection issue that mate.
I have it in my series with people, it sometimes works if the person exits the lobby and re-enters, works 70% of the time :)
 
But this has started happening just recently. I've tried restarting my modem and PS3 multiple times. It's so frustrating. :ouch:
 
We see this bug every night. I would be able to see these people all the time. I was sure it wasn't my connection as I did what Gik69 suggested and it only worked once. I guess it's just an incompatibility between connections.

I recently switched ISPs for more speed and cost reasons. I've also made a few tweaks to my router and PS3 and haven't seen the problem since.

I've also always had a NAT2 type and now I have a wired connection. I just recently (this week) made these tweaks which may or may not have solved the problem on my end. This link was posted by another user.

Since you now know about this problem spread the word. Anyone with loading lines (moving lines) under their name/s will not show while racing. I also believe this causes other problems for the room.
