This is not up for debate,

FF is a pre-pubescent girls game, the sky is blue and grass is green...its a fact of life..

especially FFX-2

there is no content in here for the male of the species...no car chases, no big guns or zombies, no lesbian subtext (well maybe just a little) and no cops to kill....

why oh why do you teeny guys like it? were you not shown enough attention when you were babies or something? are you considering gender reassignment?...what?...eh? what is it..?

anyway, just thought i would clear that up....

Ok, let me get the record straight.

FF1 = Awesome, basic but awesome
FF2 = Err dunno
FF3 = Err dunno
FF4 = Awesome
FF5 = Ok ish
FF6(Or 3 in america) = Grood and Awesomes
FF7 = The absoulte and utter shiznit
FF8 = Ok I suppose
FF9 = Getting a bit boring
FF10 = ****, it took me 30 mins to realise this
FF10-2 = Wank
FF11 = Stupid online RPG to waste your entire life on
FF12 = Lost cause

My opinion on this matter is the only correct one, anyone elses opinion is complete and utter wank.
 
ff5 was cool
ff6 aka, ff3 was awesome
ff7 was cool - not as great storywise as ff8 but had the best fight system of them all
ff8 rocked ass
ff9 stunk like ass
ffX stunk like elephant ass and the lead character was too feminine for my tastes...not to mention he didn't really matter much for the storyline.
ffX-2 - never played it but the ads for it are too umm...pop-oriented and directed towards 12 year old girls
ff11- waste of my time and money
ff12 - lead character is either gay or overly effeminate. I'm SICK AND TIRED of them.
 
I agree final fantasy x-2 is just girly and will never be for me (my sister wants it and she hates rpgs but does she listen :rolleyes: )

On thinking about it, I might say FF8 was pretty good. Although Squall was a moody bastard throughout most of the game. The three other characters Laguna, ward and Kiros are awesome though.

That's one word and two letters. "Ff" isn't a word. You try using it in Scrabble, and see how far you get.

I hate it to the extremes of possibility. You are expected to spend way too much time playing it. There is no flexibility, and the series has gone on too far.
 
I haven't liked an FF game since SNES, but with the online version coming out, I might have to reconsider my position, if it's as cool as it looks in commercials.
 
I've always liked all the FF from 7 and above. I guess I'm into those girly stories, *cough* gay *cough* (jk). But I guess I'm a little feminine then most guys, I love Gilmore Girls, Chick Flicks and Here On Earth is probably my most favorite chick flick. Final Fantasy is just an interactive movie, but I love it! The ending of all the FF's are pretty predictable, but the journey to the end is what I love and enjoy with FF.
 
The sky isn't always blue nor is the grass always green.

FF games are a required taste, not everyone has an appetite for them.
 
i think the ff series are the best rpgs of all time.... play more for story then anything else......i like in x-2 when you get the ending where everyone dies now that was nuts....

i feel like i get my moneys worth when i play ff games...like onimusha that game was good but it was too short so you kinda feel ripped off in the end..

you know i can think of one other game that ppl on THIS FORUM spend wayyyyy too much time playing lol myself included
 
Nah, FF from 7 onwards has had this "too commercial" feeling - i like my RPG's to have more exclusive feeling - like Breath of Fire, Wild Arms, Chronos, Suikodens etc. and most of all i enjoy RPG's where the battles aren't retarded: ur characters aren't nailed to their spot and aren't waiting for their turn - like in Tales of Destiny, Star Ocean etc - where the battles take place real-time and are a lot quicker. I also like tactics-rpgs, like FFT, Shining Force, Tactics Ogre and especially Vanguard Bandits.

for whoever said final fantasy was the best, you never played Xenogears, Xenosaga or any of the Star Ocean games
 
the xeno series was pretty good... idk its all personal preference i like the fantasies more..i don't think liking these games makes you less of a guy or something to that degree....i like metal gear solid now thats a guys game! (so maybe that balances out? ~ff vs mgs~ lol) final fantasy is just different always has been always will be in my opinion...
 
<~~~ Well I guess im one of the very few guys who like FF XI. Got the PC version, and the PS2 version. PC looks soo much better but then you have the funfactor of the PS2 version. Though when I first played it I was not too into it. But now I have a little itch for it and well Im loving it.
