I gave my son my old ps3 and I got new one. We both have been playing gt5 and love it. We play seperate on each other console of course. I want to send him some of my cars and vice versa. But the problem is that since the two ps3's were mine they have the same online id matched the the consoles. I went in to psn and created a new psn account for him and set up a different email for him also. But I cant change it on his console. Can somebody please tell me how I can do this so we can each other cars. I tried sending cars to myself but that doesent work. Thanks

In the mean time, can you send said cars to another friend then have him/her send them to your son?

Which console will the cars go to when the unrelated friend sends them back to your address? maybe they will goto both so you may have found a cool trick.
Try it and let us know what happens.

That might work. Would you be willing to send me the crapiest car you have to see what happens. I can send you another car tomorrow. But I actually used my trade today.

I would have thought it wouldn't work unless you both logged on at the exact same time, as I assume first to log on gets the car? Would be interesting to see if you could both get the cars though ... I don't mind helping out, not got many trades going on atm.

that won't work because you only have one online account with gt5. the only thing you can do is create another user on the ps3 and start a new account

So like I said then ... First one to log on will get the car probably.

One of you will have to start the game again on a different PSN ID if you want to be able to gift each other cars.

Or maybe one of you could make a new account and a new game save (may be some faffing with backing up game saves restoring them etc.) But say you have account A & your son has account B, well you could create account C ... So you could send from account A to account C, then log on to account C and then send to account B (& vice versa)

That could become a pain though ...

This could work, but you will still need to start a new game and complete the races and events that your son or you have done already.

Why? He just needs a new account + a new game save + he needs to buy a car to start the game with ... The new account will then show up in the community tab and will then be able to trade.
