i think they were early screenshots when the game was called GT2000...

Every element of that screenshot is in the game, it just looks slightly different.

Wheres the stadium gone looks wierd without it

Still looks good though

Dunno if i would prefer a speedo setup like that or the way it is :)

so, GT2000 was just a 1/2 GT3?
i saw it in a magazine a few years ago and had no idea what it was.

Well, I'm glad that they redeveloped the In-game Graphics. Otherwise, it would look just like GT2. CRUD!

Except smoother looking.

It was planned to release GT2000 as one of the PS2 launch tiles.

They used the old GT2 engine and updated it for GT2000 - but eventually Polyphony came to their senses and developed a whole new game called GT3 (surprise) Thus missing the launch by a few weeks. (Or was it more, I don't remember ;))

I have the GT2000 demo :)
But fear not, you aren't missing out on anything

how long has it been since GT3 came out?
it seems like GT1 and GT2 came really close together, noe 3 and 4 are pretty far apart...

heh...
but really...
what do you guys expect from gt4?
i mean
they'll improve everything
next thing yakno, we're back @ square one, and we'll want MORE in GT5

i think theyre gonna run outta space on those stupid DVDz?

What do you mean by Tedious?

Having 2 Cds wouldn't be a problem really. And it would be better in a way because then you'd have more tracks and Cars in the Arcade and GT mode. There is a method in the madness, you know.

actually,in my own opinon and from this "Free Run" on the Test Course, that looks like the vid I downloaded a loooong time ago (before my computer got reformated =P and before GT3 was even out yet ^_^) and I think it's the Japanese version of GT3,cause you know they read by KPH instead of MPH,and on the vid that I had,it showed the RUF goin' in the 400's! and we all know that isn't possible in MPH (well, unless you cheat) but if it was reading it by KPH,then it would've evened out to be somewhere around 240 MPH and that sounds about right,if not more than that...but anyways,I'm just now learning a lil bit about the transfer of MPH to KPH,so,sorry if my estimate isn't right, but I'm pretty sure it is =D
