Now, I freely admit I'm not the best but I try my damndest to race as clean as possible. That being said, I have tapped some folks or blown a braking marker. The latter was the case in a "One Make" yesterday. I knew it would be interesting with the Mach1 on the streets of Willow, but figured I'd give it the old college try. No qualifying lap so i start near the back. Plenty of offs by competitors so I had moved from 11th to 6th by lap 2. My lines were not perfect but Iwas holding my own. I got a litte exuberant on the back straight and overcooked 9a and 9b causing me to break harder than usual. I set my line to leave the inside clear, but the guy behind me just nailed me, Not pleased but knew where I had gone wrong so I sucked it up. This is where it got ridiculous... he spent the remainder of the race blocking or flat out punting me off. Even so far as to, on the final lap when i had put some distance between us, shortcut the track to punt me one final time.

And here i thought Canadians were pleasant folk lol

We are for the most part lol

To be serious though, this does happen on occaion with people from all over. Having been bingeing on gts for the last two weeks i can say this is something i have only seen twice out of like 50 or more races. Don't let it discourage you from sport mode. You gotta take the good with the bad and the good hard clean races far outweigh the bad ones. For me....

Are you around Sundays at 9pm EST?

Check out the SNAIL Racing League for some of the cleanest racing on GTPlanet. Our mission is to provide our members with clean, intense, and competitive racing - regardless of skill level! We believe that providing full grids of evenly-matched competition is the most realistic way to race, improve skill, and refine race craft.

Spec racing ensures that success is determined primarily by driving skill and not by differences in power, gearing, suspension, weight, or aerodynamics. Because variables in the car are eliminated, spec racing is the truest measure of driver skill. It also produces intense battles for position because everyone in the same car which is equally strong or weak in the different areas of the track. Plus, you'll never spend hours tuning cars or wondering if someone is truly faster than you or if they just have a better tune.

Our league night is Sunday at 9:30pm Eastern / 6:30pm Pacific. If this sounds like something you'd like to be a part of, please check us out to learn more about us and how to join.

Was making the "Canadian" joke because it was far to easy lol

Yeah, have that problem with plenty of different filks from all over and generally not too often. But damn that was out of control!

Would love to join y'all, but unfortunately that's not a good time for me, crashed out by then as i have to be up at butt crack for work on Monday :/>

You think canadians are bad. Come over to emea region and meet every nation of bad driver.
I highly suggest racing against people from countries which are said to have impulsive and very emotive inhabitants

These things happen. But to me it is maybe 1 out of 20 races.

So there are 19 out of 20 reasons to play sport mode. Think of it like that ?

I think it all got worse since the new penalty system. Before it I could really enjoy Sport, now its just banger racing. I am Sr. S, the average sports race I do looks like sr. C

I play sport mode a lot, yet just now I'm on the brink of going full destruction derby and simply lower my SR and DR as it doesn't seem to matter anyway for clean racing. The penalty system is fine with having B/S players bump me 5 times or more in a sprint race, yet when I hit a car braking in front of me on a straight to serve a penalty I get a red rating and 5 sec penalty. Don't match A/S with B/S if you're going to have different rules for different DR classes.
