Ya I know it's TECHNICALLY just giving a car away but everyone knows it as trading. Im so sick of getting scammed! It's like nobody cares anymore about just keeping your word and not act like some little kid. Is there a place to report people who are scamming? A place were there is a list of the people who are scammers. If not there really needs to be, like if someone scams someone else they can report it here and their name is posted on a list for when people want to know who their dealing with they just go there.
 
Yes, it sucks. I (knock on wood) haven't been scammed yet, but I'd imagine that it sucks.

Word of advice: buy a flashdrive and backup your save before you trade, that way the scumbag still gets a free car, but leaves you unharmed.

Ya that's what im doing now but it still gives you that bad feeling inside when you get scammed whether you loose anything or not. It's like being taken advantage of and there's nothing you can do to stop it and no repercussions for the other person.

I'm with you on this. I use the flash drive trick so that I don't lose any cars but and I also give away things free to people that I know are good traders.
 
People will always abuse whatever "power" is given to them. It's human nature unfortunately.

Conduct yourself accordingly. It's a cold fact.

If this feature is implemented in 6, I imagine it'll be a little different than it is now. Submit/search ideas in the Feedback section, as it was designed to get PD's attention, or use #PolyphonyDigital on your social media.
 
I've been scammed too. In the case of GTP, I've wanted to make a Black List thread in the past, but GTP won't allow it. As Famine said, unless there's no evidence to prove that the one you're pointing scammed you, it'll be a never-ending "he-said she-said he-did she-did" argument that will just end in attrition.
 
Simple way round this. If its someone you don't know is a good trader and its a 1st trade with the person, get them to send 1st. If they disagree move on.

It's pretty simple to have a look at someone's posts and check their name in the reputation thread and figure out who's a good trader, anyone else ask to send 1st. ;)

Yes and No

There have been people with "good reputations", who have been scamming lately.

Particuarly in the Replica business :ouch:

It seems they are run like a dishonest used car lot.👎

I agree theres alot of people who cant be trusted. ive been ripped of a couple times but i backed up my data before i did so im good. it might help. however auto save is a pain...and there should be a report button. If anyone wants to trade feel free to ask me. it seems there are very few people who preform trades correctly.
 
Locking as this as it should have been in the marketplace. There is no need for it to be there though as we cannot intervene if you are scammed. It's your word against theirs.

There are stickies in the marketplace forum that cover this.
