This or That?

I'm curious to see what everyone uses. Here's my preferences:

Automatic or Manual?
I have been using MT ever since GT2 so it was the natural choice for me right out of the box. I haven't tried AT yet to see if it improves my lap times at all, but it's probably not as much fun.

Pro Mode or Regular?
I've mostly used regular mode. I haven't spent much time sitting down and getting fast with pro mode, but I plan to soon.

D-Pad or Analog Stick?
I've always used the D-Pad in GT games so I've been using it in TT as well. I am trying to get better at the analog stick though, because it allows you to be a lot smoother and the animation doesn't look so choppy

Driving Cam?
I usually use the chase camera. In GT games, however, I strictly used the bumper cam. Not sure why, but the chase cam is just easier for me on this game.

Well, what do you use and why?

-Manual (using the auto box with such peaky high revving engines would be quite a pain)
-Pro Mode (still lacking the realism that I crave)
-Analogue Stick
-On Board View (I’m not a big fan of the textures in cockpit mode)

Automatic gears= Use automatic gears coz I just get muddled up doing manual with having to use the other top buttons for rear brake and leaning.

Pro Mode= didnt use this as much on the japanese version of TT but i'm sticking with it on USA TT. at first you may be slower, but when you get the throttle control right you can go faster.

Analogue Stick= I have allways used this for driving games on ps2 since the ps2 came out if im not using a steering wheel, you can be more precise, my friends allways say their finger slips off but i have no such problem. I do have a habit of allways pushing forward on the stick with TT which restricts your angle of leaning, fellow bike game TT superbikes to blame for that:).

Onbike cam= Its where you'll get the best sensation of speed, I'am using it more in USA version now that you get the visual aspect(if thats the right way to put it) that your sitting up and leaning forward.

automatic - i switch between AT and MT in GT4 but until i completly get the physics down in TT, its gonna be AT

pro mode or regular???

analog stick - it gives a muh smoother ride as it allows you to "ease" up and down the turns

chase cam - i love bikes and this gives the best view for my viewing pleasure :)

Automatic or Manual?
Manual gears because you can brake and accelerate faster. It's harder to learn your fingers how to be consistent but worth it later on when all there is to do is try to beat your fast laps after your done with the game. I wish the controller was a bit bigger though as my hand cramps up after about 45 min of play. (logi cordless)

Pro Mode or Regular?
Where is this PRO mode option in the US version?

D-Pad or Analog Stick?
Analogue stick all the way. This is the first console game where I'm actually able to use it effectively and not just go full left/right, able to control the turn.

Driving Cam?
On bike view for sure, this is how I'm used to playing SBK2001 and GP500 and I'm glad to see that PD got the view pretty damn good. But the textures...arrrggghhh, I try not to look at them. :yuck:

Failure conditions?
On...until I can do lap after lap without leaving the track at the ring :)

Manual. It doesn't feel right to be playing in automatic for me. I find that i'm trying to shift and downshift if it's even in automatic. =p

I've only been playing the game for a day, so I'm sticking with regular until i get a better feel for the game.

D-Pad user atm. I've never been much of an analog user. Although I must say the D-pad feels much more refined in TT than in GT4.

Bumper Cam atm. Ive been liking the chase came recently though. It gives a higher perspective and better view of the track ahead. Cockpit view seems alittle freaky at first to see how much your bike moves back and forth ;)

just like this.

German Muscle
-Manual Transmission
-Pro Mode
-Analog for steering & Gas/brakes
-Tach on center view
-Failure Conditions OFF

i was gonna write it out myself but its right there :D that combination gives me the best seat of my pants feeling.

-Manual Transmission
-Pro Mode
-Analog for steering & Gas/brakes
-Bumper view (like GT, since the first one)
-Failure Conditions OFF

plus

- sport exhaust on all bikes
- default settings for all
- pro mode (standard,semi-pro,PRO --> this one)

i like much more street bikes instead of race bikes for sports, for naked is the opposite

Automatic or Manual?
I have use manual since the GT1, that the first thing i do in a racing game change to manual start using it at the being of a game then you'll never have to worried about adjusting to it later.

Pro Mode or Regular?
Regular for now i switch it later.

D-Pad or Analog Stick?
In GT I us thd D-pad but on this it ride smoother with the analog.

Driving Cam?
On-bike Cam the sense of speed look better.
