Sad. Still most people treat animals better than other people.
 
well im just glad teh cat is ok, thats something i could never watch. and i wont lie if i did se that kid on the street i would have kicked his ass. im a cat person always have (it comes from an Aunt who had a cattery and bred pure bred Persians/Hymilains) and showed em and what not. ive had dogs too so cruelty to animals really hits me. i can not stand any animal cruelty and the sheer thought makes me wanna reach out and stab whoever does it. its just not right.
 
Golf club to knees. Done deal. Once whack from Tiger Woods himself, to each knee.
 
As unsettling and angering as it is to see what they did, there are a lot of people blowing hot air in this thread. So you're angry, deal with it. Threats of violence won't help the situation.

You have a very Valid point. though we can threaten violence, are we really no different than them if we beat them for beating something else? sure they hurt animals but if we hurt them wouldn't we... I know its not right to end violence with violence.....

Either way, in the end, they got what they deserved, and im glad they stupidly got caught.
 
He should be treated the same way he treated the cat. Other than that, I can't come up with some original punishment.

The big difference is that we are human and he is human, not a defenceless little cat. They did not get what they actually deserved.
 
Animal cruelty is something I cannot abide. However I do not believe in witch hunts and the mob mentality that people within online communities encourage is a dangerous and medieval way of dealing with situations like this. The sentence this nasty piece of work got was lenient to say the least. However there even more heinous crimes that people are getting away with every day.

I heard an interesting story recently that in the Democratic Republic of Congo a group of rebels began killing the mountain gorillas in the area and sending photos and videos to the press. Why? Because the media had begun to ignore their usual tactics of rape, dismemberment and the massacaring of innocent men, women and children the only effective way they could get their message across was to touch the nerves of the international community by slaughtering an endangered animal species. UN soldiers were even called in to protect the animals. What kind of world do we live in when shocking (and I do mean shocking) cases of rape, murder and brutality are overlooked but the deaths of a handful of animals is responded to by sending in the United Nations?!

Personaly I am not a cat lover or mater of fact do not like cats at all.. But what that kid did was sick.

Really? I think cats are my favourite domestic animals. Personally I'm not all that keen on dogs. It's usually one or the other isn't it. The thought of anyone abusing an animal fills me with absolute rage, but as I said in the above post there should be some perspective in these situations. My cat died a few years ago and I was devastated. In fact the vet had to give her a lethal injection while she sat on my knee. She did live to a ripe old age of 19 though!

I had to do the same thing back in 05. my cat baby cakes was 19. she was only supposed ot be 12-14 for a Persian/Hymilian/ she had the most beautiful blue eyes ever. so big and bold.. *sigh* i miss her much. shes on my mantle though.

Animal cruelty just sucks in every case. i wanna say there should be harsher punishment for the crime but there isnt.
 
The kid himself pisses me off more, I just want to kick him in the head.
