Just figured this'd spark some decent discussion.

Had my first really, really nasty one this morning.

Focus ST170. 12.002 and virtually nothing left. I'm sure it could break into the 11s on a perfect manual run but I don't have the heart to put it there.

Actually with my luck I'd get a 12.000.

So then, what's the closest you've gotten to a given breakpoint (the next tenth) and not been able to actually improve any? Or worse, the next second? What car was it in?
 
There was an event I played over and over for hours every day that I just couldn't beat back in GT5 Prologue. The closest I ever was to beating the first place guy was .002 if I'm remembering correctly.
 
Viper ACR and the 9 second point.. 9.003 and 9.005s but i just cant break 9
 
Not exactly what you're after, I know, but I was trying to reach 220mph in a Toyota Aristo Vertex Edition over the 10000m mark, got a high 219, at best. :ouch: ARISTO, Y U DISAPPOINT?!

On topic: I'm stuck at the 9.0xx with my acr too. So frustrating...

It's 1367kg! It's fairly lean for what it is! I'm keen on it because I want a 220mph Toyota that's not a Supra. :D

Is that good…?? I have no DLC, so I don't know.
 
13.324 in my Beetle. I've hit a wall with this one. I was working on it last night, shaving off hundredths then thousandths with each adjustment. I went to bed hoping to get a fresh start and have since been going backwards. My notepad looks a hot mess and I can't get back to where I was. Now I'm running high 13.3's. I'm calling it a night. Hopefully I can start making forward progress again tomorrow. It's not helping that I have no idea how far away I am from the fastest times so I have no benchmark to meet but I feel this car has a good bit left in it.

Dunno. My supra hits 228 out of the tunnel so it should reach 230+ in topspeed test. I'd say that the aristo shouldn't be too far away. 220-ish might be good...?

It's up to you but I'd say that if you needed to get the extra speed.. Send your tune to a pro and maybe they could give you a tip that may push you over 220 :)

DAMNIT!! I'm stuck on 8.901 for the GTR 12 :grumpy: ahaha soo close!!

I've seriously tried everything I can think of.. but even the slightest change I make in suspension or transmission bumps the time back to 904-908 : OMFGRAGEQUIT!!:

Got my supra to 238 or 239. I've never tuned seriously for tunnel so I'm sure you or one of the other tunnel guys should be able to easily get 240+ out of it.👍
 
The ACR is giving me problems :( I want to break into the 8s, and I'm SO close 9.002 is my best to date, but I know from others times I have work to do, just taking a break from it right now.

I took a break from my bug and it proved to be counter effective for me:lol:
 
The most annoying thing is that my 2nd gear ACR is by 0.001sec slower, but I'm sure it should be faster.
Confusing!

At least it's good for 8sec times....

are you running 50/50 torque?
 
My Aventador has given me nightmares... I can not get under 8.957. And this is with completely different tranny setups they always land on that.

And my top speed Veyron doesn't want to get up to those 301-302 mph times -_-

Put your dampers somewhere around a 10 - ? ? - 9 set up.


Stiff front and medium-to-soft back.

And see if that helps. 👍

K so...

The 9.000 I last ran was launching in 1st and running automatic. Tune was also great all the way to 3000M (some time potentially missing but not gonna complain about a strong 245/weak 246 from an ACR).

Now I've just tried a 2nd gear launch tune... Which obviously forces manual...

Same time. MY MIND IS FULL OF, well, you know.
