There's a car wash feature in every GT game. The cars don't recieve a spec of dust during and after races (including dirt/wet tracks). This has been the only feature in all the GT games where nothing actually happens in real-time. PD should implement track dirt attaching to the body, windows and wheels of the car.

The animation is a waste of time, what they should do is have an option to turn GT Auto animations off or on, then I won't have to even look at the dirt. :sly:

I have always wanted dirt on cArs but it was always absent from gt (for the most part).

Dirt adds to the feel that you have driven the car, that you just completed a tough long race. It gives a certain satisfaction to take it to the car wash to get it cleaned.

However In gt5 it does none of these things as the dirt is almost non existent and on dirt tracks the car is clean right after the race.

I'm game for this it just gives more feel of you actually driving in dirt and snow tracks. Plus regular race cars.

I would love this! Not only would it add ton realism, but it would be cool to see may car cleaned, rather than just made shiny.

I know it's still in Alpha stage, but is there any prediction on a release date for Project C.A.R.S. for consoles?

The cars should get really dirty if the feature will be available in future games.

Project cars do a great job to make things more realistic. Dirty Cars and living tracks.

Well I know for a fact that standard cars do get pretty dirty. I once drove a Mazda Furai about 2,000 miles on Laguna Seca exclusively without washing it, and there were two very noticable dirt build-ups- one the front fascia and one along the entire lower-left side of the car. Whether this happens to premium cars or not- I have no idea.

And either way, PD needs to allow for cars to get dirtier over a shorter period of time. Having to drive 1,000 miles in order to get one speck of dirt on your car is not realistic.

What I want is when I am rallying and there is mud all over my wheelwell I want that mud to stay there until I was it.

It was pretty much useless in GT5. I remember that in GT4 cars at least bacame very dull after some races, so the car wash was was indeed helpful.

I feel that the cars don't get dirty enought. In dirt tracks and snow, they do which is cool and gives you a sense that you've been using your car, but nothing worst than a couple of laps at the Nurburgring would do in real life. This feature should be improved, or taken out all together.

There's no way on earth that's a video game.

Returning to the topic on hand.. Well this is something I've been wishing for since GT1. rubber/oil/brake dust and dirt should build up slowly over time. Without a dirty car after a race spanning several hours, things just don't seem right to me. :indiff:

There should be more of it, and it should stay on the cars until you wash them, giving the car wash a new lease of life!

It's not a priority, and GT5 already has it on some cars/tracks, but if you have to wash your car they should add an button in your garage that washes your car in just a second.
