OK, so you don't like 5 dollars per box? Let's call it 2.50. That makes it 13.75 million dollars in packaging. Davender, feel free to take the GT5 packaging to a local print shop, and get a price quoted. You're right, 5 bucks for the sleeve itself is a little much -- but 5 dollars for the complete package is probably in the ballpark.
Do you know who pays for that? The consumer. The company pays for it initially, but their costs get factored into what they sell us, and we pay for it.
Sorry guys, it's just logistics and realities. If it's worth the argument, take it back to the retailer/point of sale. But there's no 'false advertising' here, just mis-marked packaging.
And the incorrect information can be fixed by patches after the sale. Will they be? Who knows...
Believe me, Devedander, I am the last guy to give business a free pass. But I'm a realist, and the fact is, their additional costs will be passed on to us. Businesses set a margin that they need to make per unit in order for a venture to be profitable. They won't cut that margin off the top without a way to recoup that loss. Scrapping and redoing the packaging only serves to make us pay more for this game and future games.
Freedomweasel -- what were the circumstances around the packaging problem? What happened?
