I hate complaining after recieving (after over a year) new content like this, but I can't seem to stop myself. The new cars, I feel, are content that should have been included with release as rm versions. There really is nothing new here.

It's also as if they are kind of a joke. I mean the biggest complaint with reguard to car selection about gt5 (and the gt series in general) is that there are too many gtr and mx5 and here are a few more.

Offering a few trim alterations to existing models is pretty poor imo. I think these rm models should be added regularly. I would have liked to see some newer models and maybe some old gt throwbacks.

I'll still buy the packs because I am a sucker. So much for voting with my cash.

Yes, I've said elsewhere and I'll say it here, the pack is failure. You get a bunch of basically RM'd cars, one real track, a kart track, some gear items, and a ripoff on the paints. I probably will still get it, but I feel like PD did not do well for their first DLC, hope they can do better if they do more DLC.

I love GT5 and am no troll but whilst I am very happy with Spa (and Kart Space is kinda fun), i'm pretty meh about the new "gear" and paints (particularly with the inexplicable restrictions) but more so with the cars, which were after all the most expensive pack of all.

They do seem like very rudimentary RMs to me, and really seem kinda unfinished. Most of the engine sounds are pretty nasty, there are one or two exceptions though, the start up sounds are generally terrible (one sounds very badly edited, you don't even hear it turn, it just kicks in) and most of the cars themselves are just bland.

The engine sounds are bizarre too, the 125 kart sounds like exactly the same SFX as the original PDI kart, except, weirdly, the pitch doesn't rise until you reach 20MPH, then over 50MPH it lags at first, then seems to go completely nuts. It's like they used the same sound and range as the PDI kart but added in a weird overdrive.

The Prius Touring Car is also very strange, I appreciate it's a hybrid but the pitch barely changes again, in certain powerbands, and it's very hard to tell how fast you are going just by visual cues.

And the staggering lack of imagination including an R32, R33 AND R34 "Touring Car" all in the same colour? I would include the R35 but it at least has a very cool paintjob, even if the ability to edit the number is missing :dunce:

I think the main issue is that having seen Spa, further tracks as DLC still seem a strong possibility, but as for car DLC, if it's taken almost a year to produce THIS, there really seems little hope of us seeing some genuinely new and, dare I say, up-top-date cars, unless they have been working on them and they are just delayed (surely not?)
