With GT6 almost upon us, I'm looking to open a thread in the Tuning sub-forum. We are on the verge of merging three garages into one. My intention is that each of the tuners will have their own post on the front page, where they can link to tunes that are posted elsewhere in the thread.

However, it's going to take something miraculous in order for me to get all the guys to post within a small window. So, my question is, if I start the thread and then reserve as many posts as I need, would you then be able to reassign ownership of each of those reserved posts to their intended owner?

Yes, we can merge posts from two different members but there's a catch. It's difficult to explain so I'll diagram.

At this point, our option is to merge posts 2 and [insert number here] together but if we merged it with #2, you are the owner of the post and they won't be able to edit it or we can merge it with their post but it's not going to be at the #2 slot.

Hope that makes sense, but it looks like you might need a bit of a coordinated attack when the thread gets started, even if the other three members only post "Placeholder" as their reply and edit as needed later.

@Famine - I wasn't sure if your super dooper powers would let you but mine won't. Either that or I don't know how to use them. :lol:

Soooo, does this mean I can start a thread in the GT6 Tuning section and have one of you gentlemen reassign the posts to their intended owners?

I think you're going to be better off linking to each tuner's first post in the thread from within the OP instead.
 
It was too good to be true, never mind. Is it any easier to delete posts? I've started linking each of the first posts from the guys in the OP, but there's been a bit of chatter in between. Perhaps a little OCD of me and a tad brutal, but if it's possible to trim around the edges, that'd be most appreciated...
