I have been an avid racing fan for quite sometime. Using an Logitech Driving Force Pro for what seems forever now. I have both Playstation 4 and Xbox one. I just would like to see how others are feeling about these wheels. Its a big purchase and could use all the help. I love the force feedback in my current wheel.

Well I would just base the decision on what games you want to run the most. The rims are different but they can be replaced. T300RS stock rim has more after market value then the underrated TX one. It´s lightweight plastic but that is a pro not a con once you focus on the next apex. That said I don´t really like any of Thrustmasters rim but if you are going to run on consoles you may need them. I didn´t feel handicapped using my real steering rims for GT5 and GT6 though but that was on the T500RS with it´s static paddles. You could get a TH8RA but it adds to the cost.

oqvist, Thank you for your comment. I do heavily enjoy the ability to upgrade. I kind of enjoy the 300rs more.. The only problem is the wait for the next Gran Turismo lol. Is there something about the brand that you don't like particularly? I'm a bit new to trying different wheels.

I went with 300RS, Now that PCars is yet again delayed i wish i went with the TX since i'd of been able to use it with Forza 5 & Horizon 2 and the forthcoming Forza 6 & F1 game.

Thank you UK for your comment. Thats really it, I do enjoy driveclub. However if I invest in the 300rs it is more banking on project cars is going to be fantastic. Surprisingly I don't see a lot of racing games on playstation for once. Xbox seems to show more promise, The TX looks worst then my current wheel though imo. How is the Force Feedback on the 300RS?

Yep that's what i banked on, also i banked on the PS4 version being better. I do like a gamble and sadly it's not paid off.

Both wheels are identical bar different looking rims, It's supposed to be the best wheel/wheels on the market.

The hardware is so similar you gotta follow the games. You a GT guy or a Forza fan??

Stuff like F1 2015, DiRT4, WRC5, Sebastian Loeb Evo and pCARS are all going to be multi platform. Pretty much the only exclusives are Forza and Horizon versus GT and Driveclub.

I was fully multi platform last gen, and played GT5p, GT5, GT6 and Forza 3, 4 and Horion. Unfortunately a choice had to be made this time round, since there's still no sign of a wheel which can support both sides.

Personally I decided to pick Sony this generation because I prefer the GT experience to the Forza experience (Key reasons being track selection, lighting model, physics compromises and reuse of the T500), at least until true multi platform wheels arrive. My T500 has been in use for GT5 and GT6 and will move over to the PS4 when I find a reason to get one. In the meantime I decided to also update my PC rig and went with the T300 rather than the TX because it simply felt like the better option (1080 degrees rotation and a better rim). No regrets on that, my PC sims are great with the T300.

Pretty tough decision especially when you own both consoles and potentially like Forza and GT series, as I suggested to a friend recently to get TX simply because of the value (Thrustmaster TX Thread), he is pretty happy given that it's USD$100 cheaper than T300RS. He just recently bought T3PA pedal set and waiting for it (even though regret after knowing a T3PA PRO version will be out soon). And As soon as the news was announce about the new Leather 28 GT wheel add-on, he was so excited that he called next day and said that's next on his shopping list.

But then, it was a bit easier for him to decide since his target platform was for PC. Pity that there still isn't a decent wheel that will work on both Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Pretty crap as a consumer.

It really comes down to what @Gunstar said, GT or Forza fan? Ferrari or Lamborghini? lol

Finally, you might want to pop over to this thread and ask the folks over there as some of them own both wheels.

Thanks guys, I think I may join UK in the gamble. Gran Turismo has been a game I can always go back to. Sometimes people just want to cruise lol. However its a 2 part deal. Since Playstation has only Driveclub and Project Cars, I plan to use it more heavily with my PC. Got some SimBin games and AC to be having fun with. Also Soulfresh I hope the Ferrari is GT and Forza is the always wild Lambo :P. Thanks again folks, Its a start to a nice racing sim exp for me. :D

Also any further comments on differences between Logitech and Thrustmaster wheels are always welcome :D
That's an easy one: if you are used to the G25/27 then the T300 will feel like an improved version of one of those. Smoother, quieter, no gear rattle, more powerful. Just as agile and easy to spin around. The only drawbacks of the T300 are the pedals and for some the rubber grip is less nice than leather (I personally have no problem with the rubber).
Compared to a DFGT (which I also own) you get WAY more power, smoothness, the motor doesn't get in the way when you turn the wheel, improved FFB resolution, and the pedals are actually better than DFGT pedals. The DFP is less powerful than the DFGT, so you will be quite shocked by the difference.

Well, you won't love the FFB in the DFP anymore if you try one of those Thrustmaster wheels. ;)

I went from a DFP to a T300RS. Tried the DFP a couple of wheeks later and it felt like it was broken. That difference!
