Has anybody tried this wheel with GT5? Any impressions?

I'm well aware of the shortcomings of this wheel vs. better ones, so please don't tell me to buy a G27 as I saw all the replies in one thread do. I own a DFP, but it's at my parents' house an 8 hour drive from here, and I don't have space for any means of mounting it solidly in the small apartment I share with my girlfriend, who wouldn't exactly be happy with me building a cockpit. I will probably buy a G27 or the new T500RS when I move to a larger apartment, but for now, it'd be great if I could spend $50 and get something that improves my GT5 experience.

Never used that wheel, but if you want a good $50-or-less cockpit-free wheel, the logitech driving force wireless is probably your best bet.

I have one and it's great if you don't feel like setting up a full setup, need a spare wheel for a friend, or don't have the room. Just plug in the AC adapter and you're good to go. 200 degrees(more like 180 if you ask me, but that's not terrible), decent but not great FFB, good analog paddles on the back of the wheel for gas/brake that are pretty easy to adjust to, manual shifting is somewhat awkward with L1/R1 on the face of the wheel, but could be much worse. All in all good value at $50, a steal if you can find it for less(got mine for $25 on sale at best buy a while back).

You guys are probably right, and I just looked at it and it doesn't take up any less room than the DFP. I'm going to forget about a wheel and try the HKS pad instead.
