Does anyone know when or if they're releasing this thing, and how much it will cost?

I have a G25 that's starting to fall apart and am thinking of replacing it with the G25....Having a manual transmission is a must.

Should I wait for a Thrustmaster shifter, or go with the G27? I also would rather spend closer to $350 than $700.

Thanks!

PS: I've heard from a retail store in Toronto that Logitech isn't discontinuing the G27, they just haven't been able to keep up with the demand. New shipments are coming in June he said.

Like you I'm a current owner and user of a G25 (also bought in Toronto). It's still going after over three years of constant use but obviously spiralling downward- I'm currently plagued by ghost-shifting.

My advice if what you're after is a new wheel is to seriously consider the T500RS. You can pick one up for just over $500 (+$14 shipping) from PC-Canada: http://bit.ly/l4Z0at

Even if you have to wait for the shifter, the FFB quality is just amazing and head and shoulder above the G25/G27.

I'm thinking about it....I just have a bad feeling that I'll really miss the 6-speed. I almost always drive with manual with the clutch, and use the clutch itself a lot for drifting.

isn't it 7 speed + reverse? at least that is what the pic they released depicts

better be 7 speed coz my 458 italia is 7 speed - on a side note will be interesting to see how they manage at Le Mans 24h this weekend. they better not burst into flames ;)

The ferrari italia uses stationary paddles in real life and in GT5. So why would you use a stick with it :)
