Oh okay, that's the same 3rd party i got mine from as well! i've ordered a few other things from them as well and never had any problems with the orders so i guess patience is key in this or our situation haha like i said before it says expected delivery 21st to 26th of this month for my order :dopey:

Thats it exactly. Same dates.
 
Cool, you must have ordered as soon as I posted this thread...they had three before I ordered mine and within a 2-3 hours or so they only had one left then the next day they were all gone...glad I called amazon when I did and found some...now I can't wait to get the wheel haha

Yes I did and thanks for posting that link. As soon as i saw it I placed the order and it was the last one left from GizmosForLife. Then I called Fry's and said sorry.
 
anyone know the answer to this yet?

If the product has a 2 yr warranty. Somebody is going to make it right in the event it turns to crap. Be it GizmosForLife, Amazon, or Thrustmaster.
 
Amazon is an official e-tailer, so says Thrustmaster. Your receipt is from Amazon, not [directly] from the 3rd party.
 
My 3rd party needs to get off their ass and respond back to me. They wont answer the phone either. Just a message sounding like a Technician from India. "Thank you, come again"
 
Well i just got this email:

stoopid! guess im just gonna have to wait for amazon to get it screw 3rd party...sorry about the bad news guys but i had a feeling it was too good to be true! what gets me is how the hell they listed the product IN STOCK when i ordered it and now their still waiting for it to become available...looks like they just did that to cement a sale either way nothing got charged and i can cancel with no problems so i think im gonna go that route and just patiently wait like everyone else :\
 
My order status says "being processed" and I don't have a cancel option.

This portion of your order is being prepared for shipment and cannot be canceled or changed. WTF!!
 
Talked with customer support and guess what? Same ole' BS they gave cleanvrsix. Febuary 2nd expected in stock date. I wonder if I could find one quicker. Maybe Fry's order would have shipped already. I am at a standstill.
Screw it I will just settle with my DFGT for a bit longer.
 
Wait it gets better. I had ordered from Gizmos also. Placed it like 10minutes after cleanvrsix's post about it being on amazon on Saturday. Monday morning ~10am I called Gizmos to see when it would get shipped. Lady said it had been shipped and I would get a tracking number that night via amazon. Of course no tracking# came, I called them again the next day and the same lady called up the warehouse to see what was going on and of course it hadn't been shipped and they didn't actually have one to ship even though the day before they told me it was shipped.:confused:
At that point I was thinking you guys got them and I wasn't early enough, surprised to hear you didn't get one from them either. Oh well.
 
So now what? Just stick with the order? Because everyone else is claiming the 2nd week of Febuary. Gizmos is saying Febuary 2nd.
 
Id say cancel with gizmos and keep checking daily on amazon etc..prolly get it a little cheaper through amazon anyways ...and faster shipping at that point...its your call thoug! Like I said I've ordered from jizmos before and never had a problem with their products or their shipping but them saying they had it but actually never did is ****ed up! Unfortunately I will leave them a negative comment explaining my situation and recommend yall do the same...that's what the feedback is meant for. I also talked to thrustmaster support VIA email as far as product availability goes and will post those up in here too as soon as I get to ny laptop cause doing all that copying and pasting on my Droid can go to hell!
 
So here's what i got when i contacted Thrustmaster about why the distributors listed dont have any/or sufficient quantity of their product:

Kinda weird that Amazon in UK, Germany and France have the wheel but not the American?

Because Thrustmaster/Guillemot Inc. is based in Europe, and thus have no official Operations Based in the U.S. (if you check their contact info, you will see there is no contact # listed for these locations, only a mailing address is provided.

This is absolutely correct!

whenever ive purchased anything 3rd party on amazon my receipt was from the seller, not amazon. unless the seller is authorized i dont think its covered. unless they dont ask for a receipt if you need a warranty claim.

They can technically weasel out of the manufacturer's warranty.

this worries me.

What if it is Defective out of the box?

I even called the Thrustmaster tech support line yesterday, and they were very rude about the whole thing. So I just hung up on them.

I am sure the wheel is worth the money and effort, but please learn how to apply customer service for your own products.
