Thrustmaster T500RS defective?

My accelerator pedal when fully pressed is only doing < 50% throttle. But when I press the clutch pedal together with the accelerator pedal, it does full throttle.

In PC game controller calibration, both accelerator and clutch is mapped to button #8.

Is there something I'm missing? This is the first day of usage.
 
Make sure your mode button is red if the pedals are in f1 position is my only guess atm. I think my guess might be way off tho. just check anyways tho
 
Another thing to remember especially when using it on the PC is to make sure the pedal is connected to the wheel when you start your PC.

Same thing happens in GT5. I need to have both pedals down to the floor to get 100% acceleration.

I've followed the instruction manual in connection sequence. I've tried F1&GT mode and they both require gas and clutch pedal pressed together. I've tried connecting TH8 shifter and I can't shift because the clutch pedal isn't disengaging the clutch.
 
Have you hard mounted the pedals to your rig? If so check if you didn't screw into the cables inside your pedals (you can see this looking behind the pedals). I had some weird results because I did this by accident as well. Unscrew them a bit and see what happens.
