Thrustmaster TH8A Shifter Problems

I just picked up the TH8A shifter add-on for my Thrustmaster TX wheel and I'm having strange issues where in Forza 5 and Horizon 2, the car will automatically shift from 4th to 2nd. Acceleration and deceleration on the stock TX pedals also cut out intermittently. I disconnected the shifter and rebooted the game and it worked without issue. I also tried the shifter (via USB) on iRacing without any problems. It seems the problem is specific to when the shifter is connected via DIN and it starts acting up when the wheel vibrates a lot.

Is anyone else having this issue?
