This weekend I'm about to get an Xbox One along with Forza 5 and the Thrustmaster wheel for the first time. I've read reviews about this wheel and people say it's very good...when it works. People say the wheel died in a matter of hours after updating the wheel's firmware. There have been reports saying that the wheel burned up inside the motor, it wouldn't calibrate, etc. Now I don't know if they did it right or not, but can any of you that own this wheel tell me the right way to add the latest firmware properly on the PC without damaging it within the first hour of ownership? Your support is appreciated. :)👍
 
I've never had a problem with the firmware updates, just follow the simple instructions.

Can't imagine how somebody could screw it up.
 
You must follow the instructions when updating the firmware. I've update the firmware on my T500 at least 3 times and my TX twice without any issues.
