Watcha,
Time for another stupid question. I really want a Chapparal or Ferrari 330P4. I am on the last Extreme series on both A-spec and B-spec so should hopefully have 2 level 21 tickets soon which could get me a 2D and the Ferrari. So, what if they don't? When does the system save your garage after you open the ticket? Can I just hit the console power button to do a reset if I don't get what I want, and have a second go at opening? You guys will have sussed this I'm sure, I already have 2 GT40 '69 race cars that I can't sell
Thanks

I haven't updated, but for me, I can quit the game while the car is showing headlights right after opening ticket, then I try again. That may have been cleared up in an update though

I posted in another thread that you were in, but the 1967 Birthday Ticket would make this process many times easier, as there are fewer random cars that can come up.

If I recall correctly, the game saves as soon as you open the ticket (car driving towards you onscreen), but as I said, I'm not sure if it's that exact moment or when you select Yes or No to get in the car.

For me, I always use a USB flash drive, backup my save, then open the ticket. If I don't get the car that I wanted, I quit the game using the PS button and reload my save from the USB to try again.

'67 Ticket = 10 possible cars only
Chaparral 2D Race Car '67
Ferrari 330 P4 Race Car '67
Ford Mark IV Race Car '67
Honda N360 '67
Lamborghini Miura P400 Bertone Prototype CN.0706 '67
Mazda 110S (L10A) '67
Mazda Cosmo Sport (L10A) '67
Mercury Cougar XR-7 '67
Nissan SKYLINE 2000GT-B (S54A) '67
Toyota 2000GT '67

The Level 21 Ticket has 37 possible cars.

I used (4) '67 tickets to get the Mark IV, 330 P4, Lambo Muira, and the Chap 2D. ;)

Juicy! I could have the Miura as well! I was born in '72, so I guess you are suggesting setting up a second account with dodgy dob details? You set your b-day at 08/12/67 and get the ticket tomorrow, then create another account at 09/12/67 etc, am I on the right settings sheet here?

Oh, and the USB save thing makes complete sense and a lot better than the reset button, will do that, thanks. Thanks for all your suggestions.

You are correct in setting up a 2nd account with today's date in 1967 to get the 1st ticket, but I just duped them over 4 days until I had 4 on my main account.

Day 1
1. Have ticket on 2nd account.
2. Backup game save.
3. Send ticket to Main account.
4. Quit game and restore from USB (1 ticket on main and 1 ticket on 2nd).

Day 2
1. Backup 2nd account to USB.
2. Send ticket to main account.
3. Quit game and restore from USB (2 tickets on main and 1 ticket on 2nd).

Day 3
1. Backup 2nd account to USB.
2. Send ticket to main account.
3. Quit game and restore from USB (3 tickets on main and 1 ticket on 2nd).

Day 4
1. Backup 2nd account to USB.
2. Send ticket to main account.
3. Quit game and restore from USB (4 tickets on main and 1 ticket on 2nd).

Creating multiple accounts with 1967 birthdays could work, too, but remember, you can only send 1 ticket per day per PS3, regardless of the number of accounts. Also, each of the Vintage race cars and the Miura are untradeable, so you would need to have the tickets on the account where you want the cars.

Ok, by changing the system day on the console? I'm in no rush, just in greater need than working my way to 20mil credits four times over
Thanks for the heads-up on the gifting the ticket, I had twigged from elsewhere on the forum that tickets can move account but cars over 1mil can't, thanks for taking my Newbie status into acount and making sure!:dunce:

No, not by changing the system day on the console. When you create alternate accounts, you just use 1967 as the birth year in the date you have to put in the profile.

So, if I created a new account today that I wanted a 1967 ticket from, I would put the birthdate as 12/7/1967. Then, follow the steps above to duplicate the tickets over to your main account where you want the cars. 👍

Only 1 car or ticket per day can be sent per PS3. Also, it's not necessarily 24 hours either. Trade reset time for me is 8PM EST, if I recall correctly. So, if I didn't send a ticket yesterday, I can send one at 7:59PM, then another at 8:01PM. However, after the 8:01PM ticket, I won't be able to send again until trade reset time the next night.

I hope that's clear.
