I'm not a BIG fan of Golf but I used to enjoy Hot Shots Golf on the PS2, and also played some Pangya a while back on the PC. This is my first experience with EA's Tiger Woods series.
It seems the game has been in a closed beta for nine months and now they've decided to make it a open beta. I saw it on Twitter yesterday so I've decided to try it out. Eventually when it's released it will have a monthly fee, don't know how much it will be.
The game is played directly on the browser, you just need to install a small program on your PC to be able to play it, and you also need an EA account. And although it's played directly from the browser the graphics are pretty good, I guess it's just as good as the other Tiger Woods' games. It doesn't seem to require a powerful PC though.
The gameplay is easy to learn if you've played other golf games already, I had no problems adapting to it. You can play alone or with a group, but even if you're playing alone you can chat with everyone that's on the same course as you and you can see their balls
and status. There are also daily and weekly tournaments you can participate.
You start the game with $ 10,000 which you can use to level up the skills of you golfer. You can also use it to buy clothes and stuff but the shop isn't working yet.
There are six courses so far I think, each one with achievements to complete that give you XP points and money and they're all based on real life courses.
Anyway there are some other stuff into it but I don't feel like writing anymore.
If you like golf games you'll like this. And if you decide to try it my nickname is livemusic81. Favorite me so we can play togheter. 👍
