Hey guys, so as the GT5 advice bubbles will tell you, when putting on softer tires, we should tighten our suspension, and vice versa for harder tires. My question is how important is this, and by how much should you change the spring rate by (or can you get the same effect through the dampers)?

I've basically gone by .1 or .2 when I put on different tires tires in the same class, and then like a minimum of .5 to 1.0 when I change classes. So if I have sports hards, and slap on sports medium, and [for example] the spring rates are 9.0/10.0, I go 9.1/10.1.

Is this correct? I have yet to notice any major difference when doing this, so I don't know if those changes are too small or what.

Also, does anyone know how snow/dirt tires should be delt with suspension wise?

The GT5 Tuning Forum should be able to help you out better, so I think it would be helpful if you moved the thread there. 👍

O.1 change to the springs is nothing. Try moving the springs +5.0 and see if you feel a difference.

Exactly. I always add like 4.0 or 5.0 to the current spring rate.

If you wanna see what happens when you don't tighten it up, go fully tune a race modded Challenger, and drive it on racing tires with the stock suspension setup. Without tuning, that thing has tons of body roll.
