Hi guys noob question!

Everytime I load up gt5 I get a message to tell me to set my clock in gt5 it's 1 hour behind!

Now I have looked everywhere & can't find How to adjust the time! Anyone help me here?

You need to turn on Daylight Saving in the Time and Date menu on the XMB.:)

Mine does that. Every time I start GT it says that my time and date settings are incorrect. I can't be bothered to fix it as it doesn't seem to affect the game and the time always appears correct on the GT home screen.

It's an easy fix, just go and fix it.:)

I had that for months until I someone told me where to change it.

Well at least I was not the only person that had to ask how to fix it!

Lots of people have asked how to fix it, there has been countless threads on it, some even date back to GT5p.:)

Yup, had that problem for a while.

I know how to fix this like how everyone says. but question though:
What causes the error/prompt to come up even if we didnt change any time settings in ps3?

It's because you didn't change anything. When the clocks move forward you just need to enable daylight saving and the clock will be correct, however most people just manually change the clock themselves or set it by internet, this causes the error.

The real question is why the he'll it should matter?! It seems to have no negative effects if you don't change it so why does the game feel the need to prompt you every time? And if it knows you are an hour behind why can't it just change the in game time??

The clock issue will be fixed in patch 1.12 soon, say in 6-9 months. DLCs shortly after that :P

PS; I have the same issue and I know about the daylight savings, only this time the error persists :/

I have found that the time isn't wrong but when a new update is loaded it thinks it is wrong. That is a computer for you. Just set it to what it is and it well stop showing up when you cut your system on. you have to allow for the fact that computers are not perfect. I have to do mine now since the update!💡

I set it to day light & change the time to set to Internet! I know it done nothing BUT now the game loads up now with no time message! ;)

The fact is the game connects to te Internet to know you are an hour behind, I really fail to see the point of the message?

This is probably used to decide when to give you your daily museum cards.

Flogging a dead horse here I know but...

Going by the OP's message it's telling him that he's an hour behind so surely it knows not to give you your museum cars etc for another hour

Maybe Kaz just doesn't want people to be late for work??

It has nothing to do with the museum cards, you can't trick it to give you them earlier.

The error comes up when the time is set wrong by more than 5 minutes or the Daylight Saving option is set wrong. I can change my time zone to whatever I want and as long as the clock shows the correct time for that zone it won't give me an error.

Why GT5 and GT5P have this I have no idea but it doesn't do anything apart from show the message when it's set wrong.

Thats what I mean, I understand what conditions cause the message to appear I just fail to see the point of it...

:banghead: So, after only seeing that message about 250 times now, I guess I'll go ahead and fix it.
