Visiting this forum, I was posting in the thread, "newbie question, smite me now", and Sakiale was the last person to post, as I recall. He did so at Oct.31/07, at 9p.m. However, when I saw it the next day, it changed to the same day, but this time at 10p.m., and today it reads 9. Has anyone else been confronted with this curiosity, and is there a possible explanation to what I am seeing?

Odd... here it says 6 p... oh, there are timezones...

Ah, timezones. The reason 6/6/06 was so implausible...

When the post read 10:00 PM, you must have been viewing the site while not logged in to your account. If you aren't logged in to your account, the site doesn't know how many hours is necessary to offset the times for you. This has never been an issue for you before because the time unregistered guests will see (by default) is GMT -5:00 (the same as your account settings). However, due to a few obscure configuration options, the forum software (not the server) was still showing guests GMT -5:00 with the DST offset, resulting in the 10:00 you saw instead of the 9:00. I have corrected the issue, so thanks for bringing it up.

Yes, this post now is at 10:19pm here (GMT +9:30), but when i'm not logged in it will be the same for everyone, if my claculations are correct, it should be 12:49pm. (i think it's GMT 0:00)

Thanks to you all. But I was logged in... or was I?

Edit: Yes, it happened again, this time with Tophaticent's post. I was always logged on.
