'Time Limit' always off-sync during Endurance Races

Has anyone else noticed this?
When you come into the last 60 minutes of the race the little timer on the bottom right doesn't match up with the Time at the top right hand side. It's always faster by about 3 seconds.

Has anyone else encountered this? It's pretty strange. :lol:
 
Its a time limit down the bottom right that means that you need to get laps in before that timer goes
 
In the tsukuba 9 hour endurance mine was off by 30 seconds :p
 
does the timer at the top not start before you cross the line in a rolling start, i guess it starts when the lead car crosses
 
In the Le Mans 24 Hour Race, my timer stopped at 23:59:50.000 (10 seconds ahead)
