So, recently I was going to do a drift trial at the Tsukuba circuit, and noticed a "track options" button. Upon selecting it, I noticed that the track's time progression is set to one (real-time time progression) and that the time at the track is 14:30 (2:30 PM). This got me wondering: In the Tsukuba 9 hours race, does the sun go down? Does it get dark? Logically, if the race starts at 2:30 PM then it should be 11:30 PM (almost midnight) at the end of the race.

P.S. If you've done the Tsukuba 9 Hours in A-spec all at once then kudos to you 👍

No time change at all on that track. Even in the 9 hour race.

Tsukuba doesn't have Time change. If you look through the track list (practice mode or whatever) you'll see what tracks have time/weather change.

Yeah I remember doing the 9hrs.... What a waste of time.

2nd that...

Now, on my 2nd playthrough I have to do it again.
It's my final race, but I hate it ;)

Absolutely. It's more tedious than doing either of the 24hr races.

I saved this one for last race, and even then I could only manage 2hrs at a sitting because it was so painfully dull. :yuck:

There is one thing that's been bugging me ever since I got GT5. It's not the shadows or the standards. It is the strange idea that PD really wants us to suffer to complete the game. In GT4 at least you could have your Bobs do stints, which made the endurance races manageable and a whole lot more fun. The thought of going through 9 hours of Tsukuba is enough to make me go raving mad.
Deep down I have this fear that some day we'll be getting A-spec DLC including the 24 hours of Tsukuba....

Not to mention there are TWO endurance races at Tsukuba. There are just nine events, nine, and they couldn't choose nine different tracks. Mind boggling.

Was nice in GT4 to drive the first stint, then let the second stint drive your Bob driver and so on :dopey:

I haven't done any races longer than 4 hours. And that does NOT include the roadster race. No desire.

If pd had not trapped you in the endurance races I probably would.
