Another quarter second shaved. The gap to P1 is still immense though. Not sure I'll go back. Doubting this is safe for top 100 tbh
That fact that you did this on controller is alien. Well done to you!Took long enough and about a dozen attempts but I've finally got the sub 28, it was a lot harder than I expected. I did also improve yesterday but it was very minor so I didn't really bother to share but it was from my original time of .121 to a .067. Then today I improved from .067 to a .064 to then a .008 to then finally out of nowhere, a 27.879. I'm not even sure what I did different on the sub 28 lap but I'm not going to question it, this was really not a fun combo, especially with a controller and the amount of understeer from this car is quite frankly ridiculous. But overall, I'm happy with this and I'm glad I don't have to drive this car anymore.

Ah mate amazing time! I think we are all praying you catch the ghost hiders… many thanks for letting me chase yours!I finally got into the 47s the other night, but obviously I just had to throw it all away in S3 (I lost nearly 2 tenths there alone!!!) after finally getting a good S1 and S2 together. The 47.6 I mentioned in my last post seems significantly more likely now, as I've figured out a few more little optimizations. 👍

Not sure about addictive, but evil is dead on! I'm trying to improve my time at DT and man, the track is absolutely diabolical - especially in combination with this vette! The sheer number of ways in which you can destroy a lap are multitudinous! Touch a curb or the throttle just ever so slightly wrong and the car enters a completely-irrecoverable spin. And nothing matters until you get through the cod at the end of the frikkin lap! Doesn't matter if you're a second up on your PB...it all comes down to the cod. Even if you get through it without touching a wall, if you don't get on the throttle right you're still going to watch the tenths dissappear before the final turn. Just brutally frustrating.Ah mate amazing time! I think we are all praying you catch the ghost hiders… many thanks for letting me chase yours!
I don’t know what it is about Dragons Trail because so many parts of it are evil yet it’s strangely addictive..
Thanks! Was very frustrating though, the understeer really kicks in on the last two turns. I think this car would have been more enjoyable on Le Mans in my opinion. That fact that you did this on controller is alien. Well done to you!
I feel you - these are tricky corners. It may help to watch the replay from the ghosts perspective and note the lowest apex speed. Try not to go below that. For me at least, instinctively I was turning in too early on T7, instead of driving a little deeper and letting the car hook around using the dip in the road to slingshot me. T9 is also tough. There’s some rubber marks on the road that can guide you. Don’t overbrake, hit slowest 108mph or so thru the apex. Have your right tires kiss the curbing to pull you around while you get back on throttle. Eat too much curb and you’ll oversteer, but not enough and you’ll understeer! Tough to get right. Committing to the apex speed forced me to change my line a little bit to stay on gold pace. Some "good" improvement in the weekend, using "" because I'm really far away

I'm loosing against Tidgney lat corners + main straight due to the exit speed of the last turn (0.8s) and another (0.9s) in the section from brake zone of turn 7 and before brake zone of turn 10.
The graph below says it all

Thanks for the advice! I have indeed not a lot of space, and crucially no dedicated man cave. The PS5 is hooked to the main TV in the living room, so my rig has to be at least somewhat aesthetically pleasing. To be frank, the Playseat Challenge never met that standard with its camping chair lookIf you have a little space at home, I advise you to go and look at this site :

👍👍 I think you did a very good job because as you say it has very good reviews, just a little flexibility at the seat levelThanks for the advice! I have indeed not a lot of space, and crucially no dedicated man cave. The PS5 is hooked to the main TV in the living room, so my rig has to be at least somewhat aesthetically pleasing. To be frank, the Playseat Challenge never met that standard with its camping chair look… plus it‘s also increasingly obvious that it just can‘t handle the DD Pro. I have had more and more flex over time (or I just notice it more these days) and it‘s also become quite noisy, overall seriously degrading the fun I have while driving.
So I just pulled the trigger on a Playseat Trophy which seems to tick all these boxes and gets pretty great reviews. Hope I won‘t regret the pretty hefty investment.

… and when it arrives it‘s finally time to crush this so-called world record™ 😅
yeah for sure. It's a strange thing. In fact, I often find the break doesn't even need to be more than a couple minutes. I'll spend an hour fruitlessly trying to improve my time, then get up to go to the bathroom and come back and start driving again and within 2 or 3 laps set a new PB. Happens quite regularly.Sometimes you need to take a break :
Almost 40 laps this morning, no improvement on my 1.28.9 at Catalunia.
5 laps this afternoon after watching the world record replay : 1.28.695, even after leaving 0.2s in the first sector.
There it is...I took a step back in the trials too, and I must say it feels good to have a bit less playtime, Catalunya I won't toutch anymore and DT still goes strong for a top 100, Thursday morning ( 9am for the new one in my timezone ) ill have very limited time due to a work appointment, so still have so free time before I'm lapping again 😁
One day I am hoping to @NAXEHT way thru with a one session top 100......yeah....never gonna happen 🤣🤣
Let's pray for a nice combo
Nice, I love Tokyo Expressway!
