another 40 kms with the Lancia to keep me busy before the British GP....

I've improved a bit, from 12.199 to 12.067......

I wanted to stay in the 4,000s, or even 3,500s..... here I am, close to 3,000....😂😂😂

so I'm going to try to move up to 11.??? to make sure I stay there.....

today, 11.999 would put me 2,670th...... it's worth a try....😜
.
above all I want to make the most of the Lancia and this combo which is so much fun.....

I seem to be taking longer and longer breaks here. :indiff: I thought things would slow down after my surgery. In fact, I feel busier than ever!

Anywho...enough bellyaching about me. I like the new TT at Interlagos, and the Ferrari is quite a pleasure to drive. Just need a little finesse. I can see this possibly being my first top 100 of the year IF I continue to put in the miles AND get that one glorious, clean lap. :D Not like the one below where I had an atrocious second sector. My optimal for the session was half a second faster than my best.

And this was my final Nurburgring run. I wish I would have put more time into it (seems to be a common them for me lately). But those are some loooong laps and a not so fast car. Sessions were limited as a result.

Solid lap at Interlagos buddy , if you are at .144 already you can definitely go for a top 100 again.
Had some promising sectors myself but it's harder than ever to stick it all..... 🙈

Hi,

I have been playing GT7 since it launched. It is the only game I own. Ever since the very first time trial, I have struggled with one corner on almost every track that has been a time trial. One corner has been my downfall, my nemesis and my undoing.

I can get really close to the fastest times until that one corner comes along and ruins my lap. It must be a mental block thing.

Until today! I have no idea how or what just happened here...

I hit every apex. Nailed every braking point and smashed my throttle inputs (almost!) perfectly. "Stoked" doesn't even come close to how I feel right now!

At 1:11:259 I thought I had reached my limit. Then a quick comfort break and a cheeky cigarette and along comes my 1:11:075.
One or two more sessions to try and polish this a little further if I can.

I am shaking with adrenaline!!!

Very best regards to all here.

Ian.
If you have a mental block, I have a mental quarry. Outstanding time!

I have a 1:12.035 after a long time from playing GT7 but I’m losing a lot on the last corner because I’m a controller user the car just won’t rotate enough but I’m happy with the time after a long time away.

Woot woot! I popped on today for a go around Interlagos and eventually dropped under 1:41 with a 40.9. I was going to stop but decided to press on for a few more laps and picked up another tenth. Still behind a certain @Gomario JSP, though...:mischievous: C'mon top 100! I haven't had one yet this year.

Great lap mate, I hope you recover fully from your surgery. Speaking of surgery, my mom has to have it on July 18th. I'm gonna stay with her in the hospital for several days. They are going to remove some of the tumors. It spread to her stomach lining. It's pretty serious. I can't imagine how she'll feel after the procedure. Man, I feel for her. Please pray for us guys and TT fellow friends.

Let's goooo!

Nice mate!, very clean lap!

1:16.179 as a split before entering S3 is almost identical to my lap 16.166 🤣 So.... last corner it is!

No lapping for me this morning, it's 4AM now ...need to get the daughter to the airport 🙈🤣

@Gomario JSP what happened, is everything ok?

I had to put my TT fun to a stop because things started to go downhill for my mother 9 months ago, that's when we found out she had ovarian cancer. It spread to her lungs and part of her stomach. It's serious enough for me to sell a Playstation 5.

These GTO's have been a real nice investement, i should have bought one at 2 years old 😂
I see it had a factory price of $83.400 back then, and they are roughly around the 4 million mark if you want one now 😟😟

Yes, just a vacation, so daddy drops her off at the airport at 4:30 AM... and starts his workday at 5AM ( lucky i can self regulate that )
and have to rehabilitate for a whole week because i'm officially middleaged at 43 😂

Hi TT people,

i gave up on the Lancia TT. It just became to annoying to get beamed back all the time. I simply can't understand what PD does here! Either track limits are on or off, but what's the point of magicly beamed back without any reason!

So i spent the last days in Monza.
On saturday i improved just from 1:48,370 to 1:48,307.
But today i made a bigger move:
Gran Turismo™ 7_20250707114038.jpg

I'm quite happy with that, but looking at my best sector times i know a 1:47 is possible. I'll keep hunting for that goal!

wouahouh......11.790 !!....I'll try to do the same by Wednesday evening.....even though 11.980 would be enough for me......😋😂

and to display large images, you need to click on ‘insert image’..then you go and look for your photo......

I discovered it last week......😂😂
Yeah 🙏 I will use that in future.

After 100-150 attempts I've silver in one of 5 user accounts in the Grand Valley time trial. On Monza I needed 5-10 attempts to be 0.5% from gold..! All on AT.
How many seconds or % on average per lap is lost by using AT instead of MT at Grand Valley?
I can't give you an exact number as far as how much time you're losing on GV with auto, but, if it's shifting into 6th on the front straight, you're losing significant time there alone. I'm no alien, but usually within gold (2.5-2.99% range) when I have time to run the tt's. I used 4th for all the corners, except the chicane coming down the hill after the first right hand hairpin, I used 5th there, then down to third for the left turn hairpin. That was good enough for a 1:11.9xx, and feel like I can still improve on that significantly

It's cumulative. You can get away with going off track limits, but only so many times before you'll be yanked. So use the grace period to your advantage. 👍

I m generally short on time so I treat these TT's nothing more than credit farming, so if I don't think i can get gold I will just leave it silver. Grand Valley is a good example, I am silver right now, I guess I could gold it but would take me hours and hours, just no fun in it for me.

The GTO at Interlagos is one of those annoying ones though, a best 1/10th off gold with an optimal 3 tenths safe so I can't just walk away. When i watch replays of fast laps, i cannot get my head around how on earth folks are laying on the gas so hard, so early with no traction control, i just do not get it.

Yay I got into the 41s. This machine really does feel analog and it's only as good as you are. There's nothing in it to assist you so every input must be carefully considered or you'll be going off the road. It's a different type of focus compared to the X2019 Competition.

I don't think it's cumulative, and if you follow the right line it's just only one corner which you can't cut ALL the way ( but a whole lot ) and that's the tight left hander before the first little tunnel.
But you are either to far or not, it's not different in different laps, altough not on my sessions 😁

It‘s not only that corner. I‘ve been usualy beamed before i reached that left hander!
I assume also one of the 3 corners before that has those Star Trek vibes.🤪
Then maby i do have slighly different line, everytime i almost scrape the barrier on the left and get realy painfully close to the rocks on the apex 😂, on my PB lap i did cut quite much 😂

I think i have never been resetted before that left hander, so that tells me there is more room in sector 2 😂😂
although not sure were to fine it...., 👽

Maby to far on the left on the end of S1? that's about the only place i can think of, but absolutely no need to be all the way in the sand there

Well, i‘m just guessing. Maybe it‘s, like you say, already something in S1.
But that‘s not what i understand what „track limits: off“ should mean.
Could def. be S1, the beaming up is sometimes extremely late.

Maby here, but right tire outside the white line is fine, and more than enough to make the turn

But i agree, they are def not off in some places..... but def "off" in some... 😂 😂
partially off then 😂

Did a session Saturday morning for all 3 TTs just to determine that I can't get any better, so silver for each. Nevertheless, I decided to try again the Lancia TT after watching @Gomario JSP's video. Still silver but only after several invalidated or slow laps, I mean for quite a while not even my optimal was better than my previous best LOL Now, somehow I managed improve a little over 4 tenths and dipped into the high 1:12s:

IMG_1482.jpeg

I'm like 90% sure that I can't reach gold but will try regardless.

Got my time lowered from .460 to .348 in my final session today. Second session however didn't go too great and I made no improvements but then today I dropped just over a tenth on my PB. From what I've seen on my fastest split times I can see this dropping to a .2 or maybe .1 if I were to combine my best sectors and not mess up that last turn. But in the end I'm happy with this and this was a very nice time trial, I really enjoyed it despite the terrible brakes on the car, the Ferrari GTO is such a joy and has become one of my favourite Ferraris thanks to this combo!
