Searched quite a bit here and the web to answer this but found nothing. I can download Arcade Time Trials and watch them but I only seem to get the "sky view" version. I'd like to see the cockpit view showing speed/tach/gas configs. I found a post where someone said they downloaded a replay and watched braking and throttle settings but I can't figure out how to do it. Any idea where I have gone wrong?

Also, do all versions of GT5P play the same? The top person in the Dodge Viper High Speed Ring time trial seemed to strike the barrier twice in the run but I see no evidence that he/she was penalized for that. They also had the Traction Control set to 2 which seems impossible that you could get better times with that setting.

Thanks!

You press X or square to bring up the spedo and press select to change the view i think.

Press X for in car view, press square to bring up the hud and press select to change from in car or bonnet view, full car view and rear view. If you press triangle while in air view, it will zoom in on the car for a closer view.

People in online time trials use the guard rails to bounce off, because it doesn't slow the car down as much as it would if they had to brake to take the turn. There are certain points on the guard rails that don't incure penalties if the contact is made in a certain place. It's a glitch in the game that is taken advantage of. It's basically cheating.

Oh man! That is SO not fair about the glitches. Here I have been trying and trying while believing that the way it was done couldn't possibly be the best and yet it is. I think the barriers may actually be tied to the username because I know I've hit that High Speed Ring second turn in almost every possible location and got a penalty every time. :)

The guard rails aren't tied to the user names, it's just the angle at which they're hit. The new update on August the 1st has a new improved penalty system which should stop all that glitch/cheating behavior. :)
