Time Trial - very basic but effective tip

I tried a couple of time trials a while ago and did very poorly.

I thought that since TCS and ASM were not a variable in the licence tests that the same would apply to time trials. By not variable I mean that they were either locked on or locked off in the license tests.

But then I heard that you can change them in options so I turned ASM off. Instant gain approx 3 secs a lap.

Last night got 7 golds in TTs in about an hour.

Just have the rallies and complex striiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing to go for my 100%.

This will finish game 1. In game 2 I just need to gold B8 and my goals will be achieved.

In game 3 I have lots of mazda driving still to go and whatever other enjoyable activities I can think of.
 
I was having trouble on those time trials too, probably because I use automatic transmission, which I know is for llamas, and this was my excuse for doing poorly. I'm gonna try this, and it will feel good.
 
I used auto transmission. Beat times by up to 0.8 sec.

There was one time that I equalled the silver time exactly but it only gives you bronze for that.

I then came out and beat gold by 0.001 sec. :lol:
 
Yes, I am trying to race just mazdas. Obviously I won't be doing races like Vitz/Yaris but I may come back after and do some of those non mazda races.
 
Yes, i only realised that "turn ASM off" trick after i had 100%, so it had no use to me. :(
 
Ah, but I still did them. I guess I might've saved about half an hour, but that isn't much in retrospect to the hundreds of hours I have racked up playing GT3. ;)

I think I've only played about 100 hours. Before my card shat itself I had about 7k miles down.
 
At the moment i'm trying to get every car in my garage (which is every car you can get without an X-Port) with about 13.1 ks, by doing one lap with them on Complex String.

Why? You know the Ford GT40 Race fully tuned can do a VERY MEAN 4:13 lap on Complex String, it's quite an amazing car.

We HAVE to race the GT40 a Complex string.. 4.11 - EASY obtained in the GT40...

The entry to the growing arches is probably the single most important part of the track. That entry will cost you 2-3 seconds if you blow if... So get your speed below 50Km/h
