Just had a quick splash at it and got me 3rd at the top gear time trial, but come tomorrow im sure that my time will be destroyed.

I set the max speed at 260km/h, and set TC at 1, hard to control the power on the last corner, always get it sideways and just bogs the car down :s

I haven't tried the top gear track yet, but the GT500 at Toscana make up track, I had a pretty good run, I was ranked 2nd, but then people started pouring in, they had better faster cars. Seems the Nomad Lamborghini is the fastest car, someone is doing 1:29's on it. I'm in the 1:33's with a few laps with the Tom's Woodone Supra. Just added stage 3 engine and stage 2 turbo, had to set the HP back some since I ended up with 604. No tuning so far except dropping the ride height and increasing top speed somewhat...

Which brings me to this- we are now able to set gear ratios individually!

If the car has a fully customisable transmission, then yes!

Anyone setting any times? I've been off for a while, but I was in the 1:33's with the Woodone Supra, any suggestions/tunes/cars?

My best lap time on toscana is a 1:28:126 so far with a xanavi nismo gt-r 08.
Is it just me or is it not possible to download ghosts of the TOP10 anymore?

Ghosts are currently disabled until they sort out an issue with them that came to light with the latest update.

Does anyone have any tuning advise for these time trials?. I love to drive when every is using the same equipment but I know very little about effective tuning. I am placed well within both leader boards but my times are way off the pace and it's down to not having the car set up right.

I don't have time to sit down and tweak every little parameter at the moment so if anyone has a good setup let me know

have a 1.27.2xx on the made up track with the zanavi nizmo z 06. only tuning i did was to raise the front ride height slightly higher than the rear and set the rear suspension slightly softer than the front.

still havent found a decent setup for the nascar.

i was looking forward to it until i seen its regions now rather than countries. that doesnt seem fair when you consider how well the irish winner did in the gt academy but his TT time wouldnt have made the uk top 50.

still should be good though as long as everyone has the same car. im using a wheel now too so should be slightly better.

Yeah I would have been 37th last time if it was part of the UK board, but what the hey, we are all in the same boat and we will have access to their ghost laps as well so there will always be something to chase and learn from.

I managed to improve my lap time to 1:26:770. About two seconds behind GTPL_X-Mato (Kudos to you ), but nonetheless I´m quite content with myself, keeping in mind, I´m relative new to racing games like this. I used my good old Logitech Formula Force GP for driving. The only driving aid was ABS on 1. I set the downforce nearly to the max and the gear box to 320 kph. No other tuning yet, because I don´t know how to do it and because I think, it´s more important to push the standard tuning to its limits before changing it. But I´m open for good setups.
Has anybody checked, if the xanavi nismo Z-06 is faster than the GT-R?



I put my best replay on youtube. Any suggestions which could help improving my driving line?

P.S.: I´m wondering why people spend not so much attention to this thread and to Time Trials in general?
And finally: I apologize for my poor English skills; I´m from Germany .

Any suggestions which could help improving my driving line?

At 0:43, that double left hander you downshift to 3rd, try keeping on 4th, if you manage to stay close to the apex you might be a little faster.

But then again it could be just because I drive a Petronas sc430, not the fastest car maybe but I love it. 1.26.3xx.

It's a nice track btw, it wouldn't be a bad idea to make it available for download.

The Xanavi Z is indeed faster than the GT-R. The Z has 441kW from 6000-7500 RPM whereas the GT-R has 441kW in a much narrower RPM-range.

I drove about an hour this evening, now with the Z´06 and now my best time is 1:25:638. Currently rank 11. Am I so "good" (for my circumstances) or are the pro drivers out there just not interested in these "silly" time trials?

Btw. the track is really nice. I like it much more than this new Eifel track which is much too wide and hilly in my opinion.
