Apologies if there is already a thread for this, was wondering if I’m looking in the wrong place but I can’t find online TT to compare with friends and global times, like Driveclub used to do so well, is this not a feature in this game ?

Go to player profile on main menu > on top right there should be leaderboards. Then you can manually search for each car/track combo. I don't think you can compare directly with friends like in DC though, it starts at the top of the leaderboard so unless they're in the top spots it will take you a long time to find them by scrolling down
