Hi everyone,

First thing, I am not new to Gran Turismo. I've already played GT1, GT2, and although I never completed 1 and 2, I conquered GT3 and reached 100%. Well, that was almost two years ago. I am now NOT CONFIDENT of my driving skills and will have to retrain myself.

Just yesterday, I bought my second Playstation2 (slim version) and purchased GT4 right on!

Can someone give me Tips and Tricks for a GT4 rookie? This like:

1. What car to buy first.
2. Where to race to get more money.
3. What to avoid doing.
4. What things to expect.
5. And how much time to spend in one day playing GT4 (hehe!)

:nervous: :) :dopey: :indiff: :yuck:  :yuck: :indiff: :dopey: :) :nervous: :ill: :sly: :guilty: 💡 :ill: :sly: :guilty: 💡

Let's see...

1) Car to buy. There are many, there is a nice used Evo that is pretty damn nice to begin with. I myself started with an RX-7 GTX, but that's because I drift. Just look around the Used Showrooms, they have many good cars (try to get a nice AWD or RWD with as high HP as you can afford)
2) Start out winning the Sunday Cup several times and selling the price car (it's useless). The race I keep winning at the moment is the American All Star. 10k for each race won, plus a 212k worth prize car. Pretty nice considering I easily B-Spec it.
3) Breaking your PS2 in frustration at times =Þ
4) A great deal. GT4 is really fun and very realistic in many aspects. Just play around with it.
5) I spend around 2 to 4 hours daily playing at the moment... and that's just drifting, if I were to try to keep up my completion, I'd play around 5 or 6 =Þ

Thanks dude!

I'll check it out later. Honestly, I've never touched the DVD yet, it's still in the package. But I will be playing tonight.

1. the r32 i forgot which one though. I thought that it was a relly good car to start off with
2. One of those races in the special condition hall but dont waste too much time in there. Once you get a crazy car like the minolta. Go into the endurance and keep racing in the 24 hours of the ring. HAha i do that once in a while and get up to 20 million credits

thats all i could aanswer.

can't see why you'd call yourself a "GTmaster"?.. Gago!.. joke lol.. ;)

the best tip is to try and get all golds in the licences and complete all Driving Missions.. then, maybe you can be on your way to becoming a master, young pada-wan.. :sly:

I have 3 suggestions for you
1. Buy be the Chevy SSR as it counts as a truck and apparently as a roadster.
2. Do the licences and driving missions as far as you can get. Silver in National A & B will give you decent enough cars for a while, and the missions will give you some awesome cars.
3. Use the search button, and look at the FAQs.
